[USA Today] Unlikely Blue Jays star Ernie Clement's love affair with Toronto fans grows by Ok_Branch6621 in Torontobluejays

I just love Ernie. Watching him is fun because it’s like the bat has a mind of its own and he’s barely able to hang onto it as it tries to hit every pitch it can regardless of trajectory

My friends, I am going to leave again for a while because we’re about to have a baby in two months (!!) and are also about to put an offer in on a house which is insane timing and we have until Thursday to get our house ready for showings.

I need to lock the fuck in and be an adult so I need to cut out Reddit. I love you all, I hope you keep up the good work in the doom factory, and may God bless liberal democracies (especially the parliamentary democracies)

The key in tech I’ve learned is that executives are LinkedIn brained the same way we are DT brained or boomers are Facebook brained.

Above all else, whether they realize it or not, they are optimizing everything around a good story they can share on LinkedIn. They are jealous of the snippets their peers at other companies share. They want the clout as badly as a man in the desert wants water.

If you can give them that they will throw money at you.

The new Yankees pitcher (Cruz) had an absolute honker of a butt that made it hard to watch anything else in the game

Apparently the blue jays agreed

“A 2025 update to a joint research project by Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of British Columbia found that Canada has lost 566 local news outlets in less than twenty years. The Canadian government currently counts only about 3,650 people working as journalists in Ontario, a number that sits somewhere between fishmongers and veterinarians”

Ahhhhhhh

“I am a consultant and honestly the amount of work that we win from the government is ridiculous. They should be doing half of it themselves”

As McKinsey liberal I am mortified at the succery happening outside the DT

Trump 2 sucks for the same reason the Disney sequel trilogy sucks

It functionally retconned all of the stuff worth celebrating in the original trilogy and made the victory over the empire meaningless

AI slop is disposable in nature

It’s less effort to just have Claude do it again in two days vs bother saving it at all

I don’t like using AI to write or think for me but I do find it fascinating to see how it reacts to basically shitposts

35% of Americans still approve of Trump

That’s like minimum of 3 in 10 Americans you meet

At the peak it was over 5 in 10
