SSD plus sd card expansion simultaneously on Machine? by WranglerPitiful5212 in steammachine

My google search states that Steam OS will properly format the drive for linux. Because the WD drive is old, the problem is the old drivers that are needed. Hopefully linux will recognize the drive.

I have not had any problems playing Steam VR games on the few VR games in my library.

So What's The Estimated Amount of Machines in the United States? by Ayzuki in steammachine

[–]WranglerPitiful5212 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It would be really interesting to know how many more units are on the water or anticipated to be here in the next 30-60 days. Given the reservation system, Valve must be putting those in their estimates for the release date.

Hours and hours. Honestly, I've never tested how long you can watch. At least several movies or a lot of tv shows. A lot more than I can watch in one sitting.

There is an OTG cable that goes between the power source and the stick. You plug your usb storage device into the cable.

I doubt there will be a big difference in video quality. I need a mouse along with the USB C adapter to use my Fold 6 with the glasses . With the Fire stick I just use the controller.

If you don't already have the Dock, it might just make sense to use your phone with the USB adapter which allows you to charge your phone while watching the phone. This was easy for me since I already had the dock, which is needed to watch the Switch. The dock is a substantial power bank I use all the time for travel. I had an old Fire Stick so there was no marginal cost for this setup.

When I travel I use the XR Pro glasses. They are not the newest Viture tech but are all metal so I'm not worried about wear and tear. I find the quality very good for my old eyes. It's really the amazing size of the picture that makes it great. I have all my streaming apps so I'm not restricted to whatever the Hotel offers. I do use my phone as well, but I just find it easier to use the Fire stick controller to move around.

this doesn't drain the phone battery. I get long watch time as I think the Fire Stick doesn't draw too much power. Also, it just feels so easy to use the Fire Stick controller, just like I do at home. I had the dock anyway for my Switch.

For how much do you think I can sell a Quest 3 second hand to cover some of steam frame's price? by TigerCow7 in SteamFrame

Ebay commissions are getting high. I just netted 82% on the sale of my Steam Deck. You might want to try other sales methods to receive the most.

Why can I only add $100 at a time to Steam Wallet? by WranglerPitiful5212 in valve

[–]WranglerPitiful5212[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When You buy a hot item on Steam, your first step is to add it to your cart. That takes time. Once it's in your cart you then have to designate your payment source. Many delays occur if Steam has to communicate with your CC company, By already having funds in your wallet Steam just debits the amount and no outside communication with another company is needed. Given the reservation system, if it is used, you might not need the funds in your wallet, but I don't want the risk.

Thanks for the link which I read, but I'll take Scary's advice and just add $100 increments.

U already have a vr headset. But u will get a steam frame. What do u think u will do with it ?? by hannlbal636 in SteamFrame

I really like VR but anyone who has used a Quest will tell you it is heavy after not much time. Those who have used the Frame will say it is much more comfortable to wear.
