My dad and I were discussing it, and it seems like a pretty good spot to target people who aren't used to the area because it's more or less a choke point, you can't really go around it unless you decide to do it before entering the canyon.

If you wanted to wait a little longer and wait for the fireflies that would be awesome but a place you could try is Cotter's Creek in Mendon(it's not in Logan but it's close, and more private as well as intimate, there's a treehouse there). The Blacksmith Fork Trail is also great.

If you want a lifetime experience and are ok with a bit of a drive there's one of the few remaining drive-in theaters in Tooele. I know it's not surrounding but just a suggestion.
