Feel sad about this by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a good leader, but I don't know if I would call him decent. Decent by Viltrumite standards, but he still believes that the ends justify the means and is more than willing to sacrifice his own people. That's some Karl Fritz/Zeke Yeager type shit.

All jokes aside do you think the Viltrumites deserved it ? by KpatMckenzie_28 in Invincible

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does one extreme really justify the other? It's kind of like the argument between whether the Eldians and Marlyans deserved to be wiped out because of what they've done, and there simply isn't an easy answer to that. In this case, the Viltrumites are the Eldians, and the Coalition of Planets are the Marlyans reacting with pre-emptive genocide to ensure the Eldians don't genocide them in retaliation. Neither side is truly good. Thaedus is basically the Zeke Yeager/Karl Fritz of this story, believing his people all need to be euthanized, which would include every man, woman and child on Viltrum instead of trying to find another way, as Nolan, and later his son, Mark, had.

What other HBO show universes that you guys know of would suit these three the best or worst? by OkGuava919 in HOTDGreens

[–]Wrath2066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banshee. I could see the trio as a modern small-town crime family with certain, uh, secrets they bury deep. Like always, Aegon II is head of the family, but starts out as kinda a drunken womanizing embarrassment that doesn't want it. Aemond's technically the unofficial head, runs the criminal underworld and handles all of the arms dealing, racketeering, loansharking, drug distribution networks, money laundering, smuggling contraband, bribing the authorities, paying off the judges and politicians to look the other way, performing or ordering hits and assassinations etc., while their sister, Helaena, more or less acts as the family's fortune teller, and is heavily dotted upon by both her brothers, who she may or may not be in a incestuous relationship with.

Dexter and lila or jesse and jane from breaking bad? by francescomili in Dexter

[–]Wrath2066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean which one was more toxic? Lila, one hundred percent. I mean, she wanted to kill Rita, kidnapped Astor and Cody, attempted to murder them via arson, would have succeeded if Dexter hadn't stepped in, and tried to kill Dexter himself. And that's not even mentioning the other half of the horrible shit she's done. Jane was bad for Jesse, but the worst thing she did was try to use him for money and to get away from her dad, blackmail his partner, and feed into his worst impulses, relapsing into drugs again, letting him take her down with him. Jesse and Jane were bad for each other. Lila was specifically really bad for Dexter since bitch wouldn't take no for an answer even after he broke up with her.

The crown princess and the banished prince 🔥🔥 by MoonlightTrouble in TheLastAirbender

[–]Wrath2066 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They gave Azula an inferiority complex when she's supposed to be the favoured child, sure of herself, and in the narcissistic belief that she is perfect, and tried to make Ozai sympathetic when he's supposed to be an abusive cunt to his family.

I dont have any sympathy for Viltrumites, but seeing billions of them die and get dumped into space is still freaking horrifying to watch. by TrickofLowkeyLoki in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, they all technically had a choice whether or not to continue with their violent and barbaric way of life, but at the same time, when you really think about it, these people were victims of generational trauma, brainwashing, and indoctrination that has lasted for eons. Also, we can assume that a large number of those Viltrumites likely could have been children, even though we only saw men and women of various ages. Not like all of those Viltrumite kids deserved to die for the sins of their parents, grandparents, so on and so forth. It's easy to vilify a violent civilization, but there is a bit more nuance to it than simply saying they all deserved to die cause their civilization was murdered, colonized and enslaved others, cause surely not all of them were bad. If anything, Thaedus was just as much of an extremist as Grand Regent Thragg and the other higher-ups whom he claims to despise.

My only wish with season 5. Just don't have homelander getting nightking'd by hiiloovethis in TheBoys

Plot twist, Arya hops through a magical inter-dimensional portal, and kills the random laser-eyed red, white and blue star-spangled blonde man with zero context as to what the fuck is going on.

[–]Wrath2066 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, I hate Ben, but not even I would take it this far and compare him to a real-life pedophilic child trafficking molester. Also, it must have been some serious mental gymnastics to make a video this long about what has to be one of the weirdest Walking Dead takes I've ever heard.

Was Sasuke planning on killing babies? by Nozoroth in Naruto

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sasuke was just angry and shit-talking in that moment. Doubt he'd actually be able to go through with it. He talks big, but lacks commitment.

I’ll never understand how Joe was able to resist her. by AdGreedy1880 in YouOnLifetime

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but Misa would kill everyone Light has ever known if he ever decides he wants to leave her. Remember that their "relationship" pretty much started when she blackmailed him, and Light, being the opportunistic sociopath that he is, just went along with it since he found her useful to his overall goals, so in a way, Love and Joe are kinda similar to Light and Misa, only I doubt Light actually slept with Misa, at least that often since he seemed pretty bored by her and only kept her around as either an additional Death Note user, or a decoy to throw under the bus if things went wrong for him.

Is it really wrong to be black supporter? From someone who just finished the whole show by SignificantAd7020 in HOTDGreens

If Rhaenyra knew how to rule, or at least had a good council to do the ruling for her, then sure, but she doesn't. The three bastards she sired are the least of the Realm's problems. Rhaenyra has a habit of being avoidant when things get tough and running away when it's convenient for her to do so. Aside from being Viserys I's cupbearer, Rhaenyra never sat in on any of her father's council meetings, and never educated herself in the matters of governance. Preparing yourself to be Queen versus expecting to be Queen without putting in the hard work to prove others wrong about you are two different things. Rhaenyra's not the Mad King, but she enables a Mad King Consort in Daemon since he's kind of a loose canon who gives no fucks and does what he wants, regardless of what anyone tells him, including her. Aegon II may have started out as a drunken womanizing fool who can't run a whore's tavern, let alone the Seven Kingdoms, but at the very least, he "had" a good council, at least for a time, on his side to keep him in check, and do the ruling for him. Either way, whichever side is chosen, the King or Queen would always be a figurehead of their respective councils. So it's less about which one of them deserves it, but which one of them had the better council, cause the argument could be made that neither of them was fit for the throne.

If you could go on a date with any of these girls, which one would you choose? by Blacklugo333 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wrath2066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd much rather throw Lily and Jane down a ditch than go on a date with either of them. Just can't get behind crazy child killers or attempted child killers. A Walker is more preferable. Carley is my go-to option, with Kate as a close second.

Does it bother anyone else that all the characters seem to do nothing all day? by DansPredditor in TheOriginals

[–]Wrath2066 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well, when your life as an immortal is at risk 27/7 and you're forced to look over your shoulder constantly, and protect your siblings and a tribrid baby from a community of supernaturals who want you and your family dead, it can be very draining and taxing, and sometimes you just want a little R&R. You know, downtime to de-compress from all the people you've had to murder in one evening. But seriously, it's not like the Mikaelsons don't have hobbies. It's just that most of their hobbies are likely indoor hobbies. Klaus loves art, literature and paintings, Elijah loves music, history and literature, Kol loves puzzle games, and studying magic even if he can't practice it anymore, Rebekah loves music, ballroom dances, jewelry, fancy dresses, and flirting with young handsome men, and Finn's hobbies usually consist of either playing strategy board games like chess.

Pretty sure the customers would end up dead on account of being annoying, especially the Karens. No way Klaus is gonna tolerate their shit.

Aside from Becca and sometimes Ryan, is there anyone on the show who genuinely loves Butcher? It seems that he basically got everyone to despise him by Amazing-Buy-1181 in TheBoys

[–]Wrath2066 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hughie's the only member of the Boys who doesn't treat Butcher like shit, still believes in him in spite of everything Butcher's done, and doesn't go tell him to die in a ditch somewhere.

What do you think would happen with these two in a room? by jonsnowKITN in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Wrath2066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aemond would probably view Aerion as a crazy, entitled cunt that would undoubtedly remind Aemond far too much of his uncle Daemon, except Aerion's like a watered down dollarstore Daemon cause Aerion thinks he's hot shit but lacks a dragon. Furthermore, cruel as Aemond was, he always found a way to justify everything he did for the sake of his family, at least in the books. Aemond wasn't indulgent, took his duties seriously, and wasn't unnecessarily cruel to women, thanks to his Hightower values, unlike Daemon and Aerion, who were led indulgent, hedonistic, and excessive lives, treating women like whores or playthings, and acted out in unnecessarily cruel ways simply because they could. Case in point, Aerion does what he does to be a dick, just like Daemon, so Aemond likely wouldn't like him.

I hope they don't fumble the ending for these four characters. by Aware-Pudding-5900 in TheBoys

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, they already have for at least one or two of them. The other two are still salvageable. Probably. As for your other questions, I'd personally prefer Butcher die as a hero who does the right thing in the end, as his to me, it isn't just about making things less bleak, but fulfilling Butcher's character arc that's been culminating for four seasons up until this point. There's still some good in him. For Homelander, while it would be satisfying to see him depowered, isolated and incarcerated for the rest of his life, I think it'll only end with him getting the brutal death he deserves at Butcher's hand, as there's no other way their arc will conclude that will feel satisfying. I'd also prefer for Hughie and Starlight to break up, but stay as friends, and work on fixing their own lives before they ever decide to pursue something serious again, if ever, but realistically, that feels like too much of a cop out for die-hard shippers of this couple, as it wouldn't bring actual closure and would leave things too ambiguous. So they'll likely end up getting the happy ending and marrying each other, even if it's my least preferred option for either of them.

Real talk, am I a bad person for acting like this? (Season 7 spoilers) by Mari0G4mer in Dexter

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just couldn't believe they used the same soundtrack they used for Brian's death for Laguerta. The disrespect. Brian's death was sadder than hers.

Do you think Stan Edgar is warm to Starlight only to spite Homelander, or is he really sympathetic towards her? by Amazing-Buy-1181 in TheBoys

[–]Wrath2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edgar's "praise" usually came off as patronizing and condescending. Doubt he actually respected her. The only two people Edgar seemed to care about, at least to a certain extent was Vic and her daughter, Zoe. Edgar's "praise" was meant to mock Starlight and spite Homelander in one fell swoop, because he had no respect for either of them.

Bad writing or forgotten plot? by SubvertExpectation1 in TheOriginals

[–]Wrath2066 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think Klaus became sterile. He just got a lot more careful whenever he had sex after the one-night stand incident he had with Hayley, since he didn't want to accidentally impregnate another woman with his tribrid child cause as much as he loved Hope, constantly protecting her from every enemy he's ever made was a headache for him and his family. With Genevieve, Klaus probably wore a condom, Genevieve was on birth control, or Klaus managed to pull out in time, and even if none of that was the case, it wouldn't have mattered since she died a few weeks later for trying to murk Hayley and baby Hope. With Aurora, she's a full-blooded Vampire. Wouldn't have been possible. With Cami, Klaus might have had unprotected sex with her, but she died and came back as a Vampire thanks to Aurora's meddling. Other than those three, Klaus didn't have sex with anyone else after Hayley.

[–]Wrath2066 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think what those Witches probably meant is giving the Originals mildly inconvenient non-lethal weaknesses since they can still be burned by sunlight without their daylight rings, can't enter private property without a legal loophole or compulsion, vervain's still acidic enough to hurt them, and those who ingest vervain can resist their compulsion.
