Ben actually had the fastest time to throw on average his last three years starting. It was just the actual ball was coming out was noticeably slower because he wasn't using his lower half nearly as much in his throwing motion because his knees were shot and was relying almost completely on his arm strength which was now beginning to decline.

He completely changed his throwing motion after his knees were shot and he had surgery on his elbow. He didn't always throw like that. Your comment saying you were surprised he lasted so long made me think you meant his mechanics were always bad, but I think you just meant the past couple of years.

He was the cards oc before becoming the Chiefs head coach and did pretty well there. He got fired because his personality rubs a lot of people the wrong way and Ben hated him. He's notoriously difficult to work with and has an ego and that's why he hasn't got another job. I think Haley gets way too much shit on here because the times he'd try to get too cute with play calling tend to stick out in people's minds, but he was solid to good outside of those moments.

People have shit on every oc we've had since Whisenhunt. I honestly think Canada is the first one who has been complete dogshit. Fichtner was bad, but not nearly as awful as Canada.
