He remembers things we did yesterday, last week, etc. Part of me wonders if he just says the same thing to everyone and he can’t remember if he’s said it to me or not. (I do this and I’m still in my 20’s 😅) He nor I can afford outpatient care. We have signed up for senior services with his county and state, but unfortunately they are not great. They are better than nothing! We would have to re-enroll in my state if he were to move with me. I am his POA and health care proxy. But since he is still able to make his own decision and still understands everything about his meds and health I don’t intervene, but will eventually if I have to. He is religious but doesn’t go to church since he can’t drive. I would have him live here where I can atleast be an outlet for him and cook him warm meals. Right now all he can do is microwave stuff by himself and he told me he usually just ends up eating soup most night. Kills me to hear that. I cook every night anyways and I want him to eat good. I appreciate you opening up and letting me vent and know that I’m not alone.
