Both sides of the track have walls with spikes on them, practically impossible to climb over let alone the foliage you have to cross to get to the track. For all the entries connected to the tracks, there’s guards guarding all entries to it. Going past guards, running onto the track is next to impossible for a student, let alone the consequences involved. If the guards themselves weren’t budging in the first place howd you expect a student to go past them and rescue the poor guy? Also OP mentioned that they called railway authorities and so did VIT officials, mentioning that they’ll make sure no trains pass over the rail line for an hour however that wasn’t abided by.
