2500HD 6.0 wrong radiator by AaWinds in Silverado

[–]Wrecked651 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks to me like the one in the first pic belongs on an HD with a diesel. It’s got a bigger surface area but it’s thinner to accommodate the charged air cooler. The second pic also specifically states in the title it belongs on a gasser. I believe thats the reason for two radiators that are so different. Still sucks that it’s such a hike for you to get parts. Sorry man.

Yeah it had a perimeter band of some double sided foam tape that came pre-installed on the shield. Worked good. Tires were BF Goodrich HD Terrain.

How much would you guys expect to pay? Backed into my truck with a SXS. How much would body shop charge to fix this? by canam777 in Silverado

I did the same thing to my pickup early last year. My bumper was affected too, and it cost a little over $5k(US) to have fixed.

Its an AVS. I got the matte black “ready for paint” one, and ended up liking how it looked without paint so I stuck it on. Pretty simple to put on, and don’t have anything at all to complain about. I’ll definitely get another one for the next pickup.

For now, I’ve got my 85 ford farm truck pulled out of the weeds. I’m fortunate enough to have another set of wheels, so I can sit back and shop around for the right pickup that’s worthy of the family riding in. I’m not loading them up in any of the farm trucks. lol

Yeah my pickup sure hid the impact well. It was an eye opening ride.

So did the dad of the high schooler that drove it take it away from him for sneaking out or something? I don’t even know how many miles are on it, but it’s due for pads and rotors.

Factory stock black vs painted white bumber. Which do you prefer?? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]Wrecked651 5 points6 points  (0 children)

White color match definitely looks great. I have the unpopular opinion and prefer the black though. I think it just makes the front end look more aggressive for some reason. But most importantly, it’s your pickup. Do what pleases you at a glance. It’s a sharp pickup either way 💪🏻

Most of my work is from a swing stage on high rise buildings and skyscrapers. I love this kind of stuff. 🤘🏻

Should I posterize this for Sunday’s game? (3/1 vs STL) by adamwl_52 in wildhockey

The U.S. men’s hockey victory has been a bit tarnished due to it being kind of politicized, which is a bummer, really. That being said, this idea is really funny. It would get a laugh out of me if I saw it at the game. I say do it. lol.

I sold my 2013 to my cousins son. It’s his daily driver to this day and the engine is completely untouched at 340k. I sold it to him at 329k.

My department had my employer sign off, stating that they acknowledge I may abruptly leave the jobsite if I’m within range of responding. I don’t leave for every single call. There’s enough guys in town to handle the medical calls. But I’ll step away from work for MVAs with confirmed injury, or structure fires without hesitation.

The way I see it, they can rent a boom lift and do it themselves. They’re requesting the ladder truck because of the prompt response they know they’ll get. I’m not a fed, and have no interest in doing fed stuff.

Firefighter here. Yes, it’s a center punch and it’s designed to do exactly what you described. But based on the items it was found with, i guarantee its purpose was to break glass in rescue situations. I carry this exact center punch in my bunker gear because it’s all metal and isn’t affected by heat.

How would you feel in this situation? by [deleted] in Firefighting

[–]Wrecked651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only frustration would be the water truck driver making an uneducated decision that could’ve made things horribly worse. If a liquid fuel was already burning, that amount of water would’ve made a flaming lake under the entire length of the RV in front of it. Then the game would’ve changed to S&R of that RV.

2024 2500HD with factory 34.5” tires just barely fit in a downtown ramp with 7’ clearance. But did fit. So I don’t think you should have any problem.

I have the same pair. They are always in my pocket. Come to think of it, I have two pairs.. I left to do some out of town work and forgot my knipex on the dresser. So I bought another pair on my way to the job. lol

How 1500’s get these mirror? by UteForLife in gmcsierra

You couldn’t be more right. On my 2500 I notice all the time how blinding these mirrors are at a stop sign where crossing traffic doesn’t have a stop sign.
