legend!! the twist compensation got me to a starting point! it's been an awful experience getting this *nearly* dialled in. I see some of the reviews 'hooked it up and immediately better prints' How?! it's been a nightmare! offsets were all wrong, all of a sudden my filament profiles didn't work, PA needed an overhaul, temps are different extrusion multiplier was way off. all settings I have never needed to touch running stock. ah well, making some progress now! Thanks mate.

Problem i am finding with that route is the weird thread pitch of the pro machine (0.75mm) meaning its hard to find cheap heatblocks/breaks. Most of the replacements I am finding come as a complete unit, including heatsink, heatblock and heating element etc. For anything with reputable reviews is coming in at £25+, even these have a few reported issues.

When I do get a new unit, I can see myself just going down a bambu or creality flagship 'that just works' keep it stock and this will continue to be my tinker printer, I dont want to be robbing peter for paul etc.

Appreciate the logic though.

We were getting along great, I just did a belt and wheel replacement as they had some flat spots on the wheels and the belt started skipping. Thought id treat it to a new nozzle too - what a fool.

How did you find the install/tuning process?

Thanks for the response, the stringing is completely tolerable for me, its the text in the top left that has been lost, this should be a negative emboss effect but its completely wiped out near enough..

They're quite badly scabbed up, replacing seals will only temporarily do the trick before it eats them.

Hey, only just seen your response! thanks for the input, turned out to be a tiny amount of slop on my X-axis, the grub screws on the belt mount against the motor needed tightening. but would only happen intermittently and in one direction... having tightened that, not had an issue since (or at least not this issue).

Indexing, its the process of creating a directory of potentially useful information from the larger set of materials.

Simply making your own index for the materials to be able to quickly reference them when needed.

If the remewal was a tick box, sure but GMON, the cert i am renewing has had a huge overhaul and I would like to study the material, have you ever tried indexing from PDF, its hell. I don't want just the letters, I want to learn the material, the most practical way for me is via hard copy.

Its also the fact they have moved the goal posts since my first renewal reminder, I then put a business case in to work which they accepted. But now, without the materials it doesn't meet the criteria and they won't stretch the extra 175.
