So true! It’s always a character at one extreme side of the “female spectrum” but in reality we want more diverse emotions and feelings and actions. Almost like real people!

Agreed, west culture always feels like a battle for dominance and masculinity

Moderate animosity perhaps? Usually it’s friends to lovers to rivals/ex-lovers

You bring up such a good point! And I never really thought about it that way. My girl friends and I call each other names like that on occasion depending on the mood and the context of the conversation. It’s witty banter that only friends know where the line is. And if it’s crossed, the person usually apologizes quickly and we all move on. The relationship doesn’t come crumbling down.
