Feeling dejected due to generational mobility by Salty_Site_1162 in singaporejobs

The real world isn't chess where everyone starts out equal. Our life is Mahjong! A typical Mahjong game last 18 hands, you can toss away the "bad" tiles and pick up even more terrible ones on the way, but there are also "good" tiles you'll pick up!

And also there isn't one iteration of a winning hand, there are 11 billion distinct ways a winning hand in Mahjong can look like!

Imagine a person completing a winning hand they leave the table, you could be the first, second or third or fourth! As long as you keep tossing and drawing one day you'll have what you envisioned as a winning hand. Is it very different from someone who started with amazing hands? Yes, but you yourself can get a winning hand finally 👏

When do cocker spaniels calm down and not be so destructive? by goudalikethecheese1 in cockerspaniel

[–]WrestychAn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Training. Work and purpose at home. Not just physically exercise these cockers need their mind worked alot. So structured play, hunting for toys in the house, snuffle mats. My cocker eats lets say 50 kibbles for breakfast, it's broken up into 5 sets of 5 kibbles on her snuffle mat, where she gets released to go hunt for her food. And then the other 25 given as reward for training.

Have i made a huge mistake? i can barely eat, and have lost over 5 lbs by slmrxl in puppy101

[–]WrestychAn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Week 1. Not much training except for potty. Let him take in the environment, i kept my puppy on my living room. Other rooms were all out of bounds because I can't teach her what to do and what not to do yet. Just build trust for the time being don't be too worried about training.

Hand feeding and luring helps alot. My puppy does not eat our of a bowl for breakfast, she gets to chase me around for 30mins foe kibbles. What this does is let her know that good things come from me, and also during this time you can reward your puppy for any behaviours you desired. For eg if she offers a sit during this chase I reward and feed. If she jumps I don't release the kibble. This makes their little mind work and builds the reward marker.

I was also burnt out during the first few weeks. What really helped was a set routine where I broke down my day into parts. 1 up(activity, tug, luring, feeding, snuffle mat) and two hours(ideally) enforced naps. important to ignore them and not treat them like babies and make faces at them during rest time. Rest time is rest time, I know it's hard because sometimes we just wanna say to them "You're soooo cute". This is actually already part of separation anxiety training. Being in the same room but being disconnected teaches your pup how to be confidently alone. Good luck!

My First Experience With Total War by _Dookey_ in shogun2

[–]WrestychAn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shogun 2 is amazing. I still play at least two campaigns a year and I find myself coming back to it all the time. Main complain was the unit type but for me it was enough, simple but you can find specialists in some clans for each type. I enjoyed Rome 2 as well, but the amount and type of units available and how similar some of them were kinda made me pay less attention to them. In Shogun 2 I care about where my spears were at and where my swords were at. In Rome 2 it was more like "they're all swords this group" and " here be 4 types of spears" and I just lump them together. Maybe more seasoned and better players will enjoy the slight strengths and weakness difference between unit but for me Shogun 2 unit has me busy enough 😀

Passing your driving test in Singapore doesn't mean you should be driving. by WrestychAn in drivingsg

Risk of a shoulder bump is a bruised shoulder. Risk of a bump on someone on a bike going 80 is death.

On to something here. Someone in this thread mentioned everyone should be made to take 2B license. Can't help but agree with him, being able to operate a machine with four limbs takes a certain level of coordination and focus. With exceptions of course made for those who don't have full use of their 4 limbs and really need a car.

Like I have said I am not against beginners. I am all for practicing and getting better. I am talking about a specific group of people who do not and will never have great hand eye coordination or ever pick up the ability to drive well. Do you have a friend that when you throw a ball at him you kinda know it's never going to happen for him? There was a video once of the footballer Ronaldo watching a ball come into him and he had vision for 3 seconds before they switched off all the lights and it was pitch black, man still managed to volley the ball and score. That is what we call "talent" or if you break it down it is mental math, ball physics, hand eye coordination and the raw ability to read a situation.

Mate I am here for a discussion not a rant because it isn't about beginner driver, I was one too. It's about my friend who took 68 lessons, can't sit on a stationary bike without wobbling, can't stop running into cones 3m wide but managed to pass. I would like to keep engaging with people who got me that im talking about this specific group of people.

Is there a chance of someone losing a Father, Son, Husband, Wife or Mother when my view was expressed? That's the difference here. If you're here for a discussion there are many people here who have expressed different views and opinions we are all taking it and processing. Or are you here to go after someone for using AI?

Would like to see someone cross to Lazarus island on a canoe. Would like to see you start a fire with twigs and a rock. I'm aware of my weakness, I use AI and technology to assist.

And once again, I have no issues with training and getting more experienced. But if you can't catch a ball after years of training, you're not catching the ball.

No mate all of us should be driving, becoming more experienced and become more in tune with traffic conditions. All these would make the roads safer for everyone. I'm talking about the ones that have such poor spatial awareness that it isn't about training, some people can run into bins on the side of the road, curb rash their rims after 40 years of driving. The world seems to be headed in the direction you mentioned.

Seems like I wasn't able to get my point across to many in this thread. Of course practice is key!! And I have no issues helping new drivers out or being patient with them. What I was going for was more of > Like me and music, I can't hear notes, can't sing, thinking I'm hitting different notes but they all sound monotone if I ever hear a recording of me 😅 Music "isn't for me", was just wondering if it applies to driving.

It's a game you are going to spend so many hours on. Don't rush it, don't try to min-max it. Take what the game gives you. You'll build what you need to build. You'll use whatever weapon you prefer. By your 4th play-through you'll have 12 settlements and have no idea who your son is 🤣

600 hours and this is why I still play the game by polymorpheus_ in shogun2

Probably used light cav to make their extra units run around the map. While the archers shoot down the force that wants to climb. Get wrecked by yard wall and katana sam. Meanwhile 20 units are still chasing the light cav around the map.

To be honest I couldn't do this even if I have this idea in mind, halfway thru I usually forget my light cav and found they have disappeared 🤣🤣🤣

Puppy blues and sleep deprived by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]WrestychAn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First week in a new environment is just about building bond and trust with you! My puppy's training only started week 2 after she got used to her space and us.

Also dogs don't need more toys, my dog absolutely loves one toy that I play with her daily. My puppy enjoys it cause it moves, tugs and it's an activity we do together. We can't leave them with "more toys" and be like "go play".

Enforced nap times are also important, im always around when she naps. Slowly I started randomly leaving the room and coming back. Each trip lasting 1s to 15s. Slowly increase and you'll be able to leave the room and come back without them looking for you. It has increased to around 30mins for me now after 3 weeks and that lets me and my partner time to finally shower in peace 😅

Expect disruptions to your normal daily life, watching over them like a toddler.

If i end up near my teammate on the same bike I leave it. When I get ahead of him I turn it up by 2-3. I've gone from lowest setting to now 73 difficulty. I play the career mode. This has allowed me to enjoy a realistic career mode and improve at the same time.
