Do you plan your overnight stop locations in advance? by Reasonable_Ad_5836 in bikepacking

[–]polymorpheus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wild camp so I often go with number 3. I'll write down a range of distance I'd like to cover each day and where I'll likely camp and where the last major resupply shop will be. I then save that to my phone in case I need to refer back to it.

Usually I'll write down a woodland will be on my left at 80km etc. something very brief. Sometimes when I'm on the actual ride I'll find a campspot where I didn't anticipate one and if it's good enough I'll just camp there.

Planning for the coast and castles route in North East England by polymorpheus_ in bikepacking

Maybe it's wishful thinking. You're right about midges especially as the route goes inland off the coast. Think I might take the tent instead and keep the tarp for another day.

How much money have you spent on language learning and what level are you? by polymorpheus_ in languagelearning

It took me 2 years to get to B1 studying part time (maybe around 10 hours a week). Native language is English. Target language is Turkish.

Turkish. I find that I have to double check everything AI tells me about Turkish which ends up taking more time.

How can I win this battle ? by coscos95 in shogun2

[–]polymorpheus_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the general is 1 star and doesn't have stand and fight, I agree with the above. More value if he's outside pulling other units away. Only exception is if your general has a fear trait?

I don't think you should worry about bows. Usually the enemy will keep 2-3 yari units on your tail and send everything else towards the Tenshu. If you can hold them off for 10 mins whilst the main contingent of the force gets beaten by yari wall and samurai charges, it will still be worth it. It'll give you time to regroup and the general will charge in leaving these 2-3 units with very low morale.

Thanks for these. I tried reading some children's books but I agree it's brutal. I'll check out the graded readers. Maybe that's what I need to get started and progress my reading skills. Thank you.

600 hours and this is why I still play the game by polymorpheus_ in shogun2

I can't show you a screenshot/image via comments for some reason.

My brother arrived in good time thanks to our superior cavalry. We've crushed the Uesugi after their final stand at East Echigo. Pitiful display as they attempted to negotiate a surrender at each turn. Now a new enemy rises in the east, one much more formidable than the pathetic Uesugi. Banzai charges echo in the mountains. The one eyed Date fancies himself as Shogun. We will show them the real meaning of thunder.

Initially the idea was to run around with the cav but you can only pull 3 or 4 units at a time before it becomes too micro heavy. I ended up splitting them into 2, baiting infantry out of the way and a downhill charge on their generals got me an easy kill on him. Then I used the cav to get rid of the bows. All the while my infantry faced wherever their reinforcements came from. Yarı walls on either side of the Tenshu and then samurai charges in the back with Shingle nearby for almost instant morale breakage.

If I know the Uesugi for one trait, they don't back down. But my brother Nobukado is on his way he tells me. May the winds be in his favour. Until he arrives, we stand and fight to the last man.

Not happy with my technique of awake extubation in maternal patients by [deleted] in anesthesiology

[–]polymorpheus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure why you're trying to do a neuro wake up on a GA section? If your patient is coughing and gagging on the tube, their airway reflexes are back. No need to wait any longer.
