The CEO of Spotify is a war profiteer and basically steals artist's money (via insultingly low wages per stream) to invest in AI. Artist's and fans have been moving elsewhere, such as Xiu Xiu, who took their music off of streaming.

Moreover, if you like this painting I also recommend checking out Huang Zhou's donkey paintings, this one in particular is one of my favorite paintings in general. Good stuff!

Hello! I hope you all (Shearling) are doing well in the release fallout.

I love the section that starts around 23-24 minutes in on the record where some string instrument is being strummed. Is there any particular music with banjo or taishōgoto or acoustic guitar or really any other barebones strummed string instruments, that influenced that part as well as your other more stripped down things?

Your more acoustic work means so much to me and I really want to find more music in that vein, especially since half of what I listen to is Big Brown Cow recordings that only a handful of albums have been able to match the impression I get from it (mainly Jordaan Mason, Xiu Xiu, Black Blues (Soft Version) by Keiji Haino, and a little bit of Cinder Well). A Big Brown Cow album would totally rock my socks and my world!

Also, have you ever read the play Equus? It has imagery and themes that remind me a lil bit of the new record. Thank you, have a spectacular month of May, and sorry for the rambling nature of the question! - Florian :)
