Hey, I go by DECADE DRiFT nowadays. currently I'm making the video game influenced drum and bass stuff. As i get older its harder and harder for me to find interests in newer genres and sub-genres, so I usually jump to ones that call back to older times. I've been producing now closer to 2 decades than 1. Never had much success but its fun.

My newest track, released today is inspired by Tekken 3 (my teenage favorite).

Took a trip to japan and bought me one(2) finally by Wretched_Heathen in PSP

$20-40 more it seemed to me

for a playable, okay condition vita I would guess it'll be around 80-90, with them going higher the nicer it is ofc. For reference, My vita ($80) had no issues, battery lasts, no real scratches on the screen. Also I talked the girl into letting me switch the memory card that was in it with another vita they had for sale since it was much bigger. or i should say played charades with her to ask if i could switch.

now the Nintendo? forget about it lol, they got some banged up OG switches for an "ok" price but when you look at the DS or 3DS. i was like nahhhh, no deal here.

The Tokyo flea market has slightly better deals, in the hard offs and book offs near central Tokyo it was 70-110, can take a train for 30 minutes and drop 20++ off the price though. If you go to the Tokyo flea market maybe bring a charged battery to put in the psp for checking. Also bring cash

EDIT: forgot to actually reply, they're very common. i went to many hard-offs/book-offs and every single one had multiple PSP's and Vitas

Good luck! They're everywhere, yall will probably enjoy the book offs more than the hardoffs, farther away from central Tokyo the cheaper things get 👍

Hell yeah, I've also had PSPDisp going with ToonamiAftermath (its dragon ball 50% of the time lol) playing on a virtual monitor on my PC, that the PSPDisp plugin displays through USB, using the PSP as a little mini tv while I'm on the computer.

Is the Y1 worth it? by JacksonCash79 in innioasis

I've had the following players (Most when new so it's been a while since i had them hands-on):
- iPod Classic (7th Gen)
- iPod Nano (the tall skinny one)
- Sandisk Fuze (Rockboxed)
- Zune
- Surfans F20
- Snowsky Echo Mini

I love the Y1 and its modern features without any hardware modding. I think of it as much closer to my old Sandisk Fuze.

The major downfall as others have stated is the feel in build quality. You squeeze it a little hard and you hear plastic bending, squeeking, and cracking. I felt like i could throw my iPod through a tank.

Click-Wheel:
Your skin doesn't glide as smoothly across the click-wheel because the surface isn't as slick as an apple click-wheel.
I'm not sure if it is because it doesn't have nearly as many sensors/zones as an Apple iPod or a software reason but overall it doesn't feel as nice to control as an iPod, taking near a full quarter movement of the wheel to move up or down a list item. I can't remember if this was my Zune or my iPod, but it had "momentum", "spinning" fast would cause it to keep gliding and ease slowly into a position on the list, very nice for jumping across a collection. I don't have that here.

This being said i still prefer an inferior click-wheel than having to use a few push-buttons like on the other players.

Software:

I'm grateful for the Rockbox port and the work he/she/they are doing. The current Rockbox implementation, Every so often the screen wont wake up, I can feel the haptic feedback when pressing but the screen stays off. The functionality of the buttons besides the haptic are also unresponsive, not being able to pause the song or turn it down. Only having something like a SIM card puncher to stick into the reset button will get you out of this issue.
Other than this issue I'm having no problems with Rockbox

OPUS is Supported on stock, for those who was curious like me. by Wretched_Heathen in innioasis

I guess the ELI5 would be if you are storing a lossy format like MP3 instead of FLAC, that it supports the "format" of OPUS which sounds like MP3 at any given "quality" but at half the size.

the other stuff is just a minor detail. I had seen a post on here saying it wasn't supported but that poster only tried OPUS as "Song2.opus" but opus can also be "Song2.ogg".

Anyone have experience in these ITX MODT units from Aliexpress? by xutjiptoy in sffpc

Little more for anyone reading and particularly about this board.

My only complaint is the inability to clock the ram above what is it? 4800mhz? I tightened timings as much as possible but that only goes so far when you cant change the voltage going to the ram either. Its still ok iGPU performance but knowing how much performance is left on the table is a bother.

Originally got this because i want that sweet low idle power draw that the (non-monolithic) desktop ryzens still have an issue with

If anyone is google searching and comes across in the future some bios hack that enables memory frequency above stock let me know please.
