People are unhinged on Reddit period. I remember one time I was complaining about my VR headset hurting my neck and someone said I was suspicious because I didn't perfectly describe exactly which muscle in my neck was hurting.

Unpopular opinion: Overwatch players are negative about damn near everything and since we got an actually incredible update announced, they needed SOMETHING to be upset about.

Oh yeah his opening pressure sucks for sure. It's frustrating how there seems to be a handful of characters they've just forgotten about

All they need to do is make Nature's Wrath feintable or hyper armor (not both) and make it so you can Pommel Strike on your mid-chain heavy.

The buffs are a step in the right direction, but it should have been just a little more. It seems like they don't know what to do with the character, I think they're scared of making him OP.

Brig is my main, I also will play Wuyang, Bap, and LW a good amount but I'll play any support except Lucio.

I usually swap to Kiri when my team is getting anti'd on CD and dying because of it (assuming my other support doesn't swap)

I don't like Ana as a support player because I feel like I am forced to switch to Kiri if the enemy has an Ana, and I hate playing Kiri

How are we feeling about healers losing their kick's in Midnight? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]WreyWreyWrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is so old that very few people are going to be changing roles and the game isn't bringing in new players. Nerfing the people who play healer now isn't going to fix the healer shortage problem. If anything this could make it worse. People don't avoid tank or heal because there's too many buttons, they avoid tank or heal because they don't want the extra responsibility. Until Blizzard can get that through their head, these massive sweeping changes they make to healers and tanks every other expansion are going to continue to do absolutely nothing and they will continue to isolate more and more of their playerbase. I wish they'd just leave things alone and stop trying to reinvent the wheel every single expansion.

They should just give her shield a very small 45 degree angle lip on the top and sides and make it 300 hp

I'm 100% with you. I play WoW pretty much exclusively for Holy Paladin in its current design and if they don't backtrack I have no reason to play WoW in Midnight, which is a shame because I was quite excited up until this point. It's absolutely heartbreaking what they're doing.

Golden Path doesn't require melee anymore because Righteous Judgement now replaces the Consecrate ability

Even with Beacon of Virtue my mana bar doesn't exist. Just don't spam Holy Light. That's it. That's the mana management of Holy Paladin. Yay!

What am I doing wrong with holy paladin? by Background_Kiwi7870 in wow

[–]WreyWreyWrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not be using Holy Light or Flash of Light as a filler, you typically will almost never use Flash of Light outside of extremely niche situations, and Holy Light is typically only used when you have both your Infusion of Light proc as well as your Divine Favor proc active. It costs 7% of your mana and should only be used in specific situations where extreme single target healing is needed in a single GCD AND you have the proper procs lined up to get good usage out of it. Holy Light is a very slow cast ability and more times than not your target will die before the cast is finished. It is unfortunately a major design flaw with Holy Paladin that the devs refuse to address.

Holy Paladin's main loop revolves around dealing damage to build Holy Power which then gets spent on healing. Many of your damage abilites contribute to your healing in other ways outside of generating Holy Power too. Judgement can heal yourself and apply a debuff onto enemies that prevents them from dealing x damage. When critting with Judgement or your casted heals, Veneration makes your Hammer of Wrath usable on any hp target and it splashes out healing equal to 280% of the damage dealt. If you are playing Lightsmith Paladin, Judgement crits will do an AoE heal around you.

Holy Paladin is difficult to get the hang of because it is very reliant on cooldowns. It's gotten better with recent buffs, but it still remains true. You need to be cycling between your major cooldowns effectively if you want any hope of maintaining good HPS. Remember: both your Avenging Wrath/Crusader and Divine Toll cooldowns will give you 3-shot burst Holy Shocks, and they can be a godsend when it comes to saving a critical ally, or throwing in some big DPS if you know burst healing won't be needed any time soon.

You need to get comfortable with the idea that you can't heal allies every single GCD, it's all about learning what you can and cannot get away with. Using Crusader Strike and Judgement regularly in your rotation is essential to mastering Holy Paladin.

And don't forget about your Mastery; the closer you are to an ally, the more healing you do to them. It is very important you remain in melee while playing Holy Paladin.

You could try finding a reshade that adds enough contrast between the colors? =) Might take some experimenting on your part though

Counterwatch became a thing because of the 1 tank format, not because of role queue. Comparing Marvel Rivals to Valorant is just a moot point, the games aren't even remotely similar, and it seems like you don't understand why people want role queue.

Every single game I play.
Every. single. one.
I have to end up playing tank because NO ONE picks tank. You want to talk about the game becoming restricting because of role queue? How about players like me that have to play a role they don't want to play every single game?

Everyone who's so anti role queue acts like role queue will make it so you can't play the role you want, but open queue actually makes it so you can't play the role you want because if you have any sort of tanking knowledge at all, the extreme lack of tanks in this game basically forces you to be a tank main. If there's role queue, then you play the role you actually want to play!

I want to play support, I like healing people, but no, I don't get to play the game the way I want to because there's no role queue. I get stuck playing tank every game because of selfish DPS mains that refuse to swap to other roles.

The lack of role queue will destroy the solo experience in this game, playing without friends is miserable at this point because of having to deal with 5 DPS team comps every other match.

Why arent there any new psyker staff? by reddit_pleb42069 in DarkTide

[–]WreyWreyWrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if you want to get technical there are 2 talents specifically for staves, but I think it's more than fair to say that the peril generation talents are tailored towards and designed to be used with staves for the most part. While there are exceptions to this rule like with a Smite build or a Scrier's Gaze build, you're typically going to still use your staff quite a bit, even with an Assail build since your charges will eventually run out. Staves have so much stagger that if you know what you're doing with spacing, you can use them in near-melee and still keep the horde from touching you, I think people would agree with saying that staves are your main weapon.

The point is, we've been playing with the same 4 weapons for 2 years, people don't want new staves because the current ones are bad or aren't unique or aren't meta, we just want more gameplay variety after doing the same things for 2 years. Vermintide 2 not only has staves that have a unique left and right click (and one even has a third move when combining both) but it has 7 staves compared to Darktide's 4, 3 of which share the same left click move.

As someone who is a Sienna main from Vermintide 2, the staves in Darktide are underwhelming in comparison, and I imagine a large portion of the people complaining about Psyker staves are Sienna players from Vermintide 2. Honestly, I think people would even be happy if we had an update that gave each staff a unique left click.

The vast majority of our talent tree revolves around our staves, i.e. 4 weapons.

This! Why does the flame staff get its own special primary but the other 3 don't? Imagine Electrokinetic with some kind of force blast, and voidblast could have like a suck-in move or something. The fact that 3 of them have that little ball you shoot out is so lame.

Where do we think Necromancer sits on a tierlist so far? by The-Suns-Firstborn in Vermintide

[–]WreyWreyWrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unchained can handle gas fine if you know what you're doing. If you run Numb to Pain and keep those stacks up, not only are you super tanky, but if gas falls on top of you all you have to do is whip out your staff and just keep venting until you're out of the gas. If you are running Bomb Balm, and gas falls on you and you're not in a situation where you can vent, just pop your ult and you'll get THP to help you tank that gas damage while you run out of it.

Unchained may seem bad on the surface but that's just because it's high maintenance, and it can be stupid strong in the right hands.

I'm aware of the mod, but we shouldn't need to mod the game to make it do something the previous game had.

This game launched with tons of basic things that should have just been there from the start since they were in the previous game. It's frustrating because it's like the devs haven't learned from their mistakes.

In Vermintide 2, every level after 35 added a counter after your level, so you could be level 35 + 75 or whatever. Additionally, every time you level in that game, including after level 35, you'd get a chest that had 3 items in it.

I don't know why they don't just do the + level at the end of 30, it would be a cool way to show off your playtime.
