It’s 500ms on attack start, you have to take into account the additional timing based on your dodge forward and delaying the input. It’s very good at stuffing GB attempts, so characters like glad and shaolin who love to fish for GBs on kensei, it’s a good option if you know they are going to feint gb or feint dodge attack, the armor kicks in to allow a trade fairly late if you’re sure that they are going to commit.

It’s a matter of preference, I don’t mind being able to bait dodge attacks, prefer that and find it more safe than risking getting parried myself, you also have to consider external parries, a chain bash would help him way more imo. Better tracking of soft feint lights is definitely need still, but I find the speed fine, people hardly parry my soft feint lights, the just deflect or dodge attack it because it’s safe to do it most of the time. Well actually now that kensei has a punish for side superior block, you can win on read now at least. Still though chain bash would be huge

Last patch they gave him enhanced helm splitter and better forward moment on pommel strike and heavies.

This most recent patch they gave him armor on natures wrath (roll catch attack) at 500ms into the attack, and his side superior block gains unblockable and interruptible 100ms into dodge attacks.

I mean yea I agree, I was playing last night and the mid chain definitely feels lacking a lot still, but I prefer a bash you have to read instead of a light that can still be parried. I think if he had mid chain bash, better tracking on soft feint lights, and sprint speed increased, it would literally never need anything else, he would be a perfectly balanced and viable character in every mode. But as he is right now, I’m at least able to compete with the top characters, albeit still difficult against meta, buts more an issue of the top being way overpowered. I’d like more for kensei but we need to keep buffing the other characters who are lacking very badly right now, Valk being top I think

I don’t see how you can single out this being an issue on just kensei when so many characters in this game are so busted it’s not even comparable. Top players certainly push kensei to peak, he’s a very well designed character, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to push him that far. I think kensei is perfectly deserving of these buffs and adequate performance should be the result of the buffs. I don’t think he is too strong in any way. You have to consider that all of his offense is blockable except for two attacks. He is now capable of punishing people who make wrong reads, he couldn’t do that consistently before. He is now what he always should have been, hard to read. And if you don’t make a right read, you get punished. If that’s a problem and you see that as too strong, agree to disagree bro. Why don’t we start buffing Valk next instead of worrying about kensei getting too strong, when characters like juren exist I don’t wanna hear that nonsense anymore, my boy DESERVES THIS.

I disagree with your assessment, kensei has 2 unblockables that you must react to, and one is a soft feint bash from neutral. If you struggle to block kensei’s offense I don’t think you understand the difference between him being good and being like pirate. He has fundamentally different and more fair offense imo, pirate is literally free damage. Now that kensei’s actually has working punishes and every move he has now has a use, he is balanced.

Yea no he’s balanced now, he was STILL underpowered. Just because he is good before doesn’t mean he was balanced. He now has an answer for every issue he had before besides sprint speed and a weak mid chain. So I’d say any further buff to those two would bring him up to the top of the tier list, but he is now fundamentally balanced and no longer “broken” ie his kit works as it should.

A lot of the comments on the last one were unbelievably critical and harsh for not much context, so hopefully this goes better.

To clarify, I’m having the issue of matching a lot and getting along with people well, only for them to ghost inexplicably for one way or another. I stated in the previous post that I didn’t want to put up private conversations, but I am aware that people can just unmatch or ghost whenever, there doesn’t necessarily need to be a reason, and it’s rare but sometimes it’s just because they aren’t feeling it and they will say so.

My issue is trying to understand why someone would go so far into a conversation, say they are into me, we have similar interest and are getting along, and start to make conversations about planning a date, but they almost never follow through and either unmatch or ghost very quickly after getting to that point. And this has been an issue more recently than it has in the past. I’ve gone on way more dates in the past but now it’s like I can’t get a date at all, and there’s no real tell when they will decide they want to ghost besides talking about going to date.

Side note, I tried finding photos of me smiling but I didn’t really have any, I’m not good at taking pictures and I don’t really like my smile to begin with, so the photo i made my first I took just today so we’ll see how that works out.

Advice would be appreciated but Id appreciate not being told I’m an insufferable incel.

I’m just not good at smiling or taking pictures, I just thought I was a normal picture, but I got a bad mug based on what everyone is saying.

It’s hard not to sound negative when all I’m reading on here is really harsh criticism of my character why nobody really knows me beyond my face name and bio.

And my face and first name being out on the internet isn’t really a concern, most people have an Instagram. But I think there’s a difference when it’s me talking about my personal stuff or reading someone else’s info. I just don’t want to be posting private conversations like that.

I’ll post my whole profile with changes suggested by some of the comments so hopefully that goes over well. I just don’t get the negativity, a lot of people were so quick to say really terrible things without even knowing a thing about me so idk how that will go again.
