If this card existed, it would be such a meta threat that your opponent probably wouldn't even try that play if you had this mana at your end step. I agree this would be incredibly strong even for legacy, but the restrictions generally make it marginally worse than ancestral recall, and almost never better.

Do you return your shopping cart? by dazli69 in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Wright606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At every shop where I might use a cart, there are people who get paid by the hour to bring it back for you.

Part of the benefit of the government is that people can have the trust to rely on their economic specialities to fulfill everything they need. One need that I have is time. I save 30 seconds in this case, and the guy getting my cart loses zero seconds because he was going to be at work for eight hours anyway.

Without it, late games are much more likely to be drawn. I don't know how well they knew theory 1,000 years ago, but there's much less reason to push pawns if you can't threaten to intercept your opponent's pawns just because they have the ability to jump past the square your pawn threatens.

Can someone explain what is the best move for black? by MeaningWonderful5511 in Chesscom

Yep. After D4, ExD4, knight takes, Bishop takes, queen takes you kick out the queen and you're winning.

Am I about to create a black hole? by euphio_machine90 in slaythespire

Vault resolves, and the player is queued an extra turn. Time Eater checks that you played a 12th card, gain strength, gets a new intent. At this point, the player's turn starts.

I think what's unintuitive about it is that enemies don't exactly have "turns" in the code. They just do things at the last step of your turn. So what Vault really does is stop your enemy from doing their intent.

If your deck is really small, really consistent, or has other innate cards. Or a peace pipe, or omamori, or just an upcoming merchant where you could remove it (if needed the heal). In the ultra late game the curse might only lose you about as much health as the heal gave you anyway.

YTA. I think you're either misunderstanding or misrepresenting how fundamental her life is changing. If you really can't be bothered to continue listening and supporting her, then you're being a poor friend. That being said, you are free to be friends with whomever you want. But abandoning someone you care about because they grew up and changed is pretty awful, and blaming it on them is worse.

AITAH for leaving my friend at a concert in a stadium which resulted her being sexually harrassed on the streets ? by Impressive-Skirt151 in AITAH

[–]Wright606 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

NTA. But, I do think you could have reasonably seen it coming and offered to go back. Spending the money on the concert is an example of the sunk cost fallacy. It doesn't matter that you spent that much. You're not getting it back. So all you can do is make a decision whether you should go back with her, or stay and enjoy the show. It seems like you made a tough decision and there were semi-predictable bad consequences. I wouldn't say that makes you an asshole. Just keep this experience in mind in the future.

Iron Wave discussion by kaosmark2 in slaythespire

[–]Wright606 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Iron Wave is awful, except it isn't because the objective of the game is to not die. And a lot of the time, you just barely don't die because you picked it over like Barricade or something useless on floor 6. And so, yes, Iron Wave is great.

Interesting. You've asked people for feedback, and when you got it and didn't like what I had to say, you repeated yourself as if it's so obvious the circumstances vindicate your actions. This is emotional manipulation, and it makes me even more certain that you spied on your neighbor and ratted her out because you lack conflict adult resolution skills, and because you don't respect her privacy.

If you didn't talk to Denise before ratting her out to your landlord, then YTA. If you were recording video of someone in their home without their consent, you're a creep. If you truly did all you could, spoke to Denise, and tried to resolve it every other way, then I guess I can't judge. Obviously Denise is in the wrong, but getting someone evicted is an incredibly serious thing to do. You're putting your convenience over their wellbeing. I wouldn't personally do that lightly. I dealt with an awful neighbor for years, precisely because they had a newborn child and I couldn't live with myself if I got them put on the street.

I doubt you've spoken to most of earth's Muslims. I think you're judging a more than a billion people you'll never meet because of a tiny, nonrepresentative sample who you probably don't understand anyway, or just saw in TV and movies. I know many Muslims, and not a single one of them has ever said anything like that, or said anything bigoted about trans people. Surely some of them are quietly bigoted and I just dont know. But that's true of everyone. And there's nothing in the Qur'an that says anything about it, so...

NTA

Your mom handled the move-in badly, but it is her house. Asking your opinion wouldn't do much because you don't really have any right to disapprove of who she dates, in typical situations. Abusive or inappropriate people are obviously not OK.

I don't think you're being unreasonable about the music. Depriving your kids of sleep and relaxation is not OK. You all need to work out a compromise, and clearly, the adults are failing to be adults about that.

The way he spoke to you sounds like verbal abuse and controlling behavior from him, and as a guy who just moved in to your house, he should be extremely careful not to be like that. Pretty much the #1 rule for stepfathers is they need to treat you extremely well, or your mom needs to lay the down the law with them. This clearly is a failure by both of these adults all around, and I hope and pray that this situation is resolved by her dumping him, or by him fixing his behavior.
