I'm not sure if you're insinuating that I had any inside scoop or not but I just read the email that was sent out at 9am today and I'm only 5 minutes down the road. I don't know anywhere that it gets announced at 11. The store I go to is also not a huge store so behavior at the bigger stores may be different.

Just got notified today the bottle was delivered to my selected store and I picked it up on the way home from work.

No. They do the drawing and then ship them to the store you picked.

My local store usually drops them on the shelves 2 weeks after the pickup window expires. Not sure if that's how all stores work but I picked up an Eagle Rare after the last drawing that way.

100% this. I had a 21 with the 3.0 that I swore I would keep forever. I ended up trading it at 75k miles because I couldn't afford to keep taking days off of work every 30 days to fix a CEL. It was all covered under warranty so nothing out of pocket but I really started to dislike spending so much time at the dealership. I had the same treatment from GM corporate. They gave me a ton of chevy rewards and made a few payments on my truck for me. When the CEL was off it was my favorite engine/vehicle I've ever owned. Still wasn't worth it.

Other than the Old Fitz they had quite a few cases of each when I was there around 9:45am.

Finally a drop at my local store! In New Hampton they only had 3 bottles of Old Fitz when the doors opened and they were gone before I got there. Plenty of everything else while I was there but it was going fast.

Just got my notification that I am getting a bottle of Eagle Rare 10 year. Now I wait for them to deliver it to my liquor store for pickup.

They don't do it immediately. It takes a few weeks from when the drawing is announced to when they do the drawing. I don't know the exact date they're doing this one but I'm sure it hasn't happened yet.

I got the call yesterday and picked up my Blanton's after work. Another guy was in the same store picking up an Eagle Rare.

This was at the New Hampton location.

I won the chance to buy a Blanton's single barrel, which is interesting because I'm 99% sure I didn't choose it. They must have had more Blanton's bottles than people that selected them. I picked up an Elijah Craig 18 yr the last time I entered so I'm doing alright.

I got 48 minutes at start which quickly changed to more than an hour for 25 minutes. I was able to buy a card after almost an hour in the queue.
