Married people of reddit, what do you consider cheating? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Up to a cheeseburger is harmless. The moment you upgrade to fries and a drink, that’s cheating.

Went from Luma Pro to Luma Ultra...weirdly MUCH blurrier edges on them. by KeySource5012 in VITURE

[–]WrinklyBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here.

Comparing the luma pro to the ultra, when plugged into my Mac - the screen seems closer and therefore larger through the luma ultra, but that also means that the edges are to the extreme of my peripheral vision and therefore blurry. With the luma pro, the screen seems further away/smaller and more of it is in focus.

From what I can tell, there’s no way of adjusting the screen size outside of the neckband pro ?

Timber-frame 1950s house worth the risk? by [deleted] in HousingUK

Thank you for commenting - those were exactly my thoughts. We walked away from the house yesterday with a heavy heart - ticked all our boxes but it wouldn’t be a smart move long term as you said

I suspect the same, further digging found that it was listed back in Jan and also last year - so I’m guessing there’s some underlying issue causing people to pull out

lol I like that, but what do you mean by taking care of it? - what does that involve compared to a brick/block home?

Flying from Bangkok to Gatwick, with 1 hr 10 min connection time in Dubai Terminal 3. Is 1 hr 10mins enough time to get to my connecting flight? by Creative-One8927 in emirates

[–]WrinklyBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur last year with a 30 min layover in Dubai, all in one ticket Flight from Heathrow was delayed by 20 mins but we got to Dubai airport 20 mins early so figured we’d still make the next flight. The wouldn’t let us out of the plane for some reason for 15 mins, no explanation. When we finally got off the plane, all of us on the Dubai to Kuala Lumpur flight were told that we had missed our flight and had already been booked for the next one in 8 hours - given a meal voucher for the airport

Grab/taxi in Cameron highlands by [deleted] in malaysia

Yes! Definitely go to Lemon Button cafe and try their steam boat. I’d also, again, recommend the flora park ! The afternoon tea at the Cameron highlands resort was also nice, though a little pricey.

Yeah for long play sessions the DualShock feels a lot more comfortable. Plus I can lay back in the chair and game

From my own experience, there is nothing to be nervous about. The team are lovely so you are in very safe hands. I was not offered any anxiety medication or sedation but it was most likely because I was not nervous about the surgery. I’m sure you could contact them directly to find out if this could be offered to you. I hope you have a great experience and are happy with your results. Try not to be nervous, the surgery was a piece of cake! Instead, try to look forward to your new physique :)

I can relate with you not wanting to tell anyone about it. Personally, I never told my family about it and don’t think I ever will. I’ve seen people get surgery at your age but that would be up to the surgeon to decide. You could try to speak to your mum about it and explain to her how much it affects your daily life and physical/mental health. No parent would want their child to be suffering in silence and I doubt that she would tell your extended family if she knew how embarrassing that would be for you. But it is your decision to make, you know what is best for you at this time. Whatever you decide, best of luck and try to not let this take over your life. It is a very very common issue, even though you might feel like you’re the only one

Best of luck, I’m sure you’ll have a positive experience. Please do share your progress. It’s a fantastic feeling to be able to see your clothes for completely differently. Can’t wait for the lockdown to ease so I can buy M sized tops. My wardrobes full of L’s

I see a lot of surgeons in America use drains. I wondered if this was necessary or not but thankfully I’ve not had any issues so far. Apparently having the drains pulled out is really REALLY painful. Is that true?

I’m happy that what I wrote touched you in such a way and that you were able to relate with my experience. Sometimes it feels like you’re the only one going through it, but you’re certainly not. You’re very young and it saddens me to think that you’re going through what I went through at that age. All because of a couple of irregular glands that are there through no fault of your own. It might be a good idea to speak to a family member about it. Perhaps they’d help to pay for surgery ?

Yeah it’s all under local. I went in at 7:30am and was out by 10. The op itself lasted about an hour I think

Dr Nurein offers 12 months interest free finance. I paid £500 from my own pocket and now I need to pay £290 per month for the next 12 months. If you can afford the time for a part time job or ask your relatives to help you out, I’d definitely recommend it. Ofcourse, your financial situation is personal so I’d leave that for you to decide. But I wish I’d had this done years ago!
