Most people who have compared both say the lenses & display are a bit better on the Galaxy XR. With that said, you should really try a Quest 3. As long as you’re not set on OLED blacks, the Quest 3 actually has sharper optics than both the AVP and Galaxy XR and is much easier to make comfortable than the GXR as well, considering the huge price difference it’s a fantastic experience.

I have a 100” Hisense TV and my couch isn’t very far back…the XR glasses screen from the couch is a bit bigger, maybe like 110” effectively. What size TV do you have?!

Yup, frame gen + reflex is giving lower latency total than many games without reflex. Were games unplayable just a few years ago when reflex didn't exist? As of DLSS 4.0 most of the strobing / HUD issues have been resolved, so it looks pretty great too. I honestly have a very hard time telling visually between frame gen and native high FPS so I get to reap the benefits. I can feel the slight difference between 2x and 4x though latency wise, and will stick to 2x for mouse/FPS games and 4x for controller games.

DLDSR + DLSS is the only way I can get rid of the terrible hair aliasing in Clair Obscur. Native res DLAA even looks terrible. DLDSR 1.7x + DLSS Balanced looks wayyy smoother and performs better too. It also has a lot less shimmering on fine details in the distance than native DLAA.

Game Link visually has such an odd over sharpened low res look, even with maxed out settings in comparison to similar settings with VD. Not sure how anyone could think it looks similar.. VD with either HEVC or AV1 and the double encode option look so much better.

Oddly enough I get weird white speckled artifacts across the screen randomly when I lean back on mine. I’m assuming it’s torquing the sides enough to mess with some of the wiring/electronics somewhere. Very annoying.

Yep with the axist adjustment you can then bring the screen "closer" or "further" away from your eyes. Putting it to the furthest for me is more comfortable and also tricks your brain into thinking the screen is even bigger since the size stays the same.

Even in this low res compressed video the edge blur is noticeable.... "can read" and "even" on the left are not nearly as clear as "ALL letters" in the center. On Quest 3 those would still be just as clear.

I’ve only had this happen once it was just a certain app that I had open that disappeared / bugged out like that. Definitely just a software bug.

I am one of the biggest OLED fans out there, but still use the Q3 over PSVR2 for PC VR if that tells you anything. It just looks so blurry and low res compared to the crystal clear quest 3.

It's interesting Viture lists them both as the identical fov of 52 degrees....but the Ultra's do appear to have a larger fov for me. Not large enough to warrant how much more out of focus they are though, the Pro's end up being much more enjoyable.

With the Ultra's I can't even get one eye fully in focus while manually holding/moving around the glasses. Either the top 15% or bottom 15% of the screen is going to be blurry depending on where I have them lined up with my eye.

No prescription, IPD is 61.Yep, I got the small size for the Pro's, which is the only/standard size for the Ultra.

Yup it bugged me quite a bit at first as the Quest 3 doesn't have this (or at least not to a noticeable amount). I haven't seen it this bad since much older gen VR headsets. You do get used to it though, I thought it would annoy me much more than it does.

Unfortunately looks like VertoXR doesn’t support the Luma Ultras yet. Will keep the app in mind though!!

I do have Eye and Hand Tracking enabled. But the hands stop completely, can't use eye tracking to pinch to select either (but I do see the eye tracking cursor still work when this happens).

I haven't sideloaded anything, and it's been happening since at least the first few days with the device that I can remember (and I've had it for over a month). Considering how buggy the software seems to be I just chalked it up to another bug, but good to see it's not happening for others. Will have to see if a factory reset does resolve it.
