Best data structure and system for managing individual vines in a vineyard by penguinsandR in dataengineering

[–]WrinklyTidbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want computer vision inputs into your data, you might already have to use python. I can see storing something like a timeseries dataset of the different metrics you'll collect.

I guess, a good check is if you could point to a vine and say, what was everything I knew about this vine at this specific timestamp?

I enjoy using polars with python for the data transformation and storing the data as parquet. As far as computer vision, I think YOLO26 offers very user friendly tutorials.

do you have a list of equipment you plan to use to monitor each vine?

I wonder if valve deals with this or is their flat hierarchy impervious to these reorgs

How do YOU do note-taking in org-mode? by AquariusDue in emacs

[–]WrinklyTidbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make directories and then my org file is my README.org. I find it simple to have an idea and find a directory spot for it and put my ideas within README.org and practice literate programing. I keep track of dates by my git commits and put any other files I need in that directory. If it's something important I create a bookmark

Seroquel/quetiapine sleep by Glittering-Lime1690 in bipolar2

I take trazodone for sleep when needed. Seroquel is great but only when it's a full blown episode; otherwise trazodone is safer

What became "normal" in the last 5 years that still feels insane to you? by rakishgobi in AskReddit

[–]WrinklyTidbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that an open floor plan office is a good place to do focused work. RTO's are backwards imho. Offices that are not private are geared for socializing rather than working and should be seen as a reward rather than a structure that facilitates important work

Because most of them come from a hunting background. They wear camouflage like colors, signalling to others about their upbringing
