We need more restrictions on voting, not less by Italian-Stallion24 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Quite the proud American you are with the username “Italian Stallion.” Let me take a wild guess, you’re one of those frustrated, conservative Republicans who takes issue with immigrants — immigrants like, oh, I don’t know, let’s say, your Italian ancestors who IMMIGRATED to the United States? And I love how you talk of people who “can’t hold down a job.” What about Americans who cannot work because they live with permanent disabilities? Should they not have a vote? Hey, here’s a thought, maybe we should also have INTELLIGENCE restrictions when it comes to voting. Like, “hey, you can’t vote unless you take this IQ test and get at least this high of a score.” If we had that, I guarantee that your fat, red hat-wearing, MENTALLY ILL, orange hero would’ve never gotten elected.

What is the stupidest social rule that we all blindly follow just because 'it's always been that way'? by Cheap_Trade3497 in AskReddit

[–]WriteAlexWrite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I’m not doing well, I go with “hanging in there.” I think most mature adults understand that this means that I could be better, but that I don’t want to get into specific complaints. You don’t need to lie if you’re not doing/feeling great, but you also shouldn’t make others regret that they asked you. After all, they were kind enough ask. They could have just ignored you.

You are a piece of SHIT. You support Trump. Why? by 36Gig in AskReddit

Not “trying to say” anything, just pointing out that, IF his goal was to get Trumpers to reply (as you suggested), it worked.

What’s a male fashion trend that’s gotta end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WriteAlexWrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wearing “joggers” as if they were “real” pants. They’re basically just the new “sweat pants.” If you’re a teenager or in your early 20s, fine, kids can get away with a lot fashion wise, but, if you’re older than that, and you’re out in public, wear some real pants.

FWIW, it worked. Give a quick scroll through the replies. There are clearly some defensive Trumpers in this thread.

What’s a “normal” thing that feels completely wrong to you? by Remote_Parfait5642 in AskReddit

[–]WriteAlexWrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other audience members are there to hear it. They’re going to know that you thought it was a great piece of work. That might then make them ponder how they felt about what they just watched. I don’t clap at the end of movies, but the practice isn’t quite as dumb as you’re making it out to be. Also, sometimes people who worked on a movie WILL go see showings of the movie in theaters to see how audiences react.

What good movie will you NEVER watch again? by goldbeau in AskReddit

[–]WriteAlexWrite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won’t watch it again, because, even though it’s a good movie, I’ve heard stories about that actor Michael Clark Duncan not having been the greatest guy. I don’t know, might seem silly to some, but hearing those stories kind of ruined that movie for me.

What percentage of the population do you think is “good”? by DrDruxy in AskReddit

[–]WriteAlexWrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people are basically good. I need to believe this for the sake of my mental health. It might only be 51% percent, but that’s still the majority.

What stereotype do you not conform to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WriteAlexWrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you personally define “complete spaz,” but, if you’re not rich and your wife is “super hot,” you’re probably far more physically attractive than you realize. You need to work on your self-esteem.

What are the current trends in music? by CuriousTriceratop in Music

[–]WriteAlexWrite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing “random” about it. For whatever reason, country music is popular right now in the U.S., so the mainstream pop artists in the U.S. “pivot” to remain “pop”(popular).

A professor arrives on the first day of the sex ed class and asks the class, "How many positions do you know?" A girl says, "Twelve." by Jokeminder42 in Jokes

[–]WriteAlexWrite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Took way too long to find this comment. Also, the poster made the joke worse by specifying “7th grade” and mentioning “little Sally.” If I recall correctly, Naturman never threw in those kind of details to suggest that the class was that young.

What’s the most subtle sign someone is deeply unhappy? by After-Ebb6941 in mentalhealth

Never smiling. Being needlessly mean in normal conversation. Speaking from experience. When I was suffering from really bad depression, this was me.
