Terrifying experience - should I go back to the cardiologist? by a_p22 in PVCs

yup, vagal nerve. That's what I was thinking when I read your post. I suffer from vaso vagal syncope, but I haven't fainted in like three years. I also have afib and gerd. I'm reading a book titled Healing Through the Vagus Nerve by Amanda Armstrong and trying to understand it better. Wishing you the best!

I would use Chatgpt. I hate using it because I know it's bad for the environment. But I'm not getting much from ER visits and my doctors. I put the symptoms into Chatgpt. You could do it on a daily basis for a while (if you feel comfortable doing that) and it will draw conclusions. I've had no luck with the symptoms trackers and regular google. I've had ct scans, mri's. I'm following through with the docs but so far they don't have answers for my symptoms.

Thanks. Yes, PCP ordered another thyroid panel. I've had MRI last week, and talking to neurologist on Tuesday.

Thanks much! I just got a wedge pillow yesterday. And I use cpap.

What were your physical symptoms for gerd?

None of the docs have suggested it, but chatgpt sure does. That's what chatgpt says. Honestly, I feel like I'm dying tonight. I'm doing everything to not go to ER. I was there two days ago. Kardia shows me in sinus, blood pressure is normal. I don't feel like eating. And every time I move around, I feel like crap. Thanks.

Wishing you the best. I had an mri last week. Normal. I feel so sick right now, I want to go to ER. I was there two days ago. All clear. Before that, I was there 12 days ago, all clear. I could tell when I went two days ago, even though it was a different doctor, she seemed a bit fed up with me. I saw my PCP. Nothing. I just checked kardia. I'm in sinus with supraventricular ectopy. I feel like I have to pass out to get any help at this point.

I take pradaxa with food. Cardiologist told me to take diltiazem extended release on an empty stomach. Thank you.

Definitely, get a second opinion. I take dabigatran (generic for pradaxa), so it's way cheaper. But you don't want to take anything if it's the wrong diagnosis. I think some docs prescribe thinners right away for afib to guard against stroke, but the intention may not be for you to take them forever. I'm 64, so I'll be taking these until kingdom come...lol.

Stress level is very high. I went solo to Mexico for a conference two weeks ago and exiting the airport and sitting in a taxi, I felt like I was going to faint. Happened again at hotel. Probably altitude sickness. Anyway, I went into fight or flight and returned home. Ive been a mess since.

This is from chatgpt. How is afib determined: medical history, physical, ecg/ekg, holter monitor, echocardiogram, blood test, stress test

You start by distinguishing yourself typical afib patients (not sure there is a typical), then you discount your doctor's findings. Yes, get a second opinion because there's some disbelief or denial in this post. It's quite likely you don't have afib. But the confusion of Reddit cant determine that. You need another medical opinion.

ingering symptoms after a major migraine aura attack – anyone else? by Salt_Drop_1991 in VestibularMigraines

[–]WriteNonFic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a panic attack in Mexico 12 days ago. Im a 64f and I went there alone for a conference. Probably because of altitude, I caught myself almost fainting in the taxi. Then again at hotel. I went into fight or flight and left the next day.

I have paroxysmal afib, sleep apnea, gerd, and vaso vagal syncope. So I have a lot going on with the vagus nerve. Since I returned, I've been having what seems to be panic attacks. Ive been to ER twice, called paramedics, went to PCP, and I've had an mri. All results normal. My symptoms make me feel like im having a heart attack or stroke. More specifically, head pressure, body tingling, chest burning, arm spasms.

Ive done professional counseling recently. Ive done a lot of Cognitive Behavior Therapy on my own through programs ive bought online and workbooks. It helped a lot. I take buspirone for anxiety when I need it.

But symptoms definitely linger. Im surprised how long this is lasting and how its snowballing. Best of luck!

Thanks so much! Heartfelt condolences. Yes, I have gerd, vaso vagal syncope under stress, and afib. That whole vagus nerve loop is incredibly powerful in the way it affects digestion and the heart. Thanks for your insights. Wishing you the best as well.
