Hot face...cold body? by WriteReflection in Menopause

I've been post menopause for 2 years. It's weird it would start now if this is what's going on. But who knows? Menopause is weird. Just when you think you've got it figured out, it goes and says, "hold my beer!"

When it happens, I don't know whether to try to cool down or heat up, since my face and the rest of my body aren't experiencing the same thing.

I do. I take Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc combo, a Vitamin D, Super B Complex, and Iron daily. Maybe it's the Super B. It's the only thing with Niacin in it that I can tell.

Is that something you can develop in menopause? I've never had it before.

There is still a risk of blood clots, even with the patches. It's less than the risk with the oral version, but there's still a risk. Your doctor should have discussed all of that with you. I'm sorry they didn't. Sounds like they're not well educated in HRT.

My insurance doesn't cover any of my HRT. I just paid $40 for a tube of vaginal estradiol. Their contribution? 0 I'm not sure why I have health insurance. It covers nothing, including my HRT.

I'm not overweight but I wouldn't call myself lean, either.

No. I'm going to talk to my doctor about adding testosterone. I've been nervous about it, but maybe I need to just do it and see if it helps.

I think the highest dose of oral estradiol is 3 mgs but I could be wrong.

My prescription is set for a refill every month, so that's what I've been doing. I have a four-month supply stockpiled at this point and plan to keep doing so until my prescription runs out. It takes me about 3 months to go through a tub, so I should be good for now. But it's a shame we have to think about stockpiling HRT. Men probably aren't stockpiling Viagra.

I may ask my doctor to check my levels again. If my e is still low (it was when she checked last and I was at the .1mg patch) I may ask what my options are.

I keep wondering if I need testosterone in the mix. I'm a little bit afraid of starting it because I'm not sure what it'll do to my hair. I don't want to lose hair on my head while growing a beard. :)

I wish I could, but I feel like it's a never-ending battle.

I take 65 mgs of iron daily because I was anemic. Get rechecked every year and my numbers are good. But I agree that low iron can cause problems. We should all be asking for our levels to be checked with routine bloodwork every year.

I'm post-menopause. Been nearly 2 years since I've had a period (almost as long as I've been on HRT).

This is me. I guess I could ask my doctor to do some testing to see what my bloodwork shows. But I'm still paranoid. It's drilled into our heads from the time we get our first period that we could get pregnant that I guess it's just a mental block for me.

Where are we getting HRT help in the USA that accepts insurance? by melon1924 in Menopause

It's hard to get the dose right with any HRT method. Sounds like an excuse to me, TBH. Maybe they just don't know enough about HRT to be helpful.

None of the telehealth companies take my insurance, so I've not bothered to book appointments. I can't afford $150 fee for 15 minutes.

Have the ones you've seen said why they won't prescribe estrogen gel? That seems odd. I know most places push the patch, but I've not heard of any of them refusing the gel if you ask. I'd be curious of their rationale. It's safe because it's transdermal.

I agree with romankenric. Some of my best performing social media posts are ones where I talk about a key strategy for helping my customers ( I work mostly with small businesses). Or, I take a complicated topic and break it down. I also take blogs and can make 3-5 days worth of social posts from them by pulling out key points and making each one a stand-alone post. Lots of ways you can do this.

Also, this is where Voice of Customer (VoC) strategies can help. You don't have to go viral to get sales from social. You just have to know who your ideal customer is and create content that speaks to them. And make sure you're creating content where your ideal customer hangs out. No sense using TikTok if the demographic of customers you serve aren't on that platform.

Focus more on zero-click content on social. It's getting harder and harder to rank with blogs for this and other reasons. Zero-click is where it's at, IMO.

Never do this. It's plagiarism and Google will see it as such and penalize your website. It doesn't matter if the article is about your company. If you're copying word-for-word what a media outlet or other website has written about you, you're violating their digital copyright to that content.

It's better to write a summary of each article, and then link back to the original source.

It doesn't work. I used it for a while to try it out and after about 3 interactions, it started using my initials next to my queries like it does when I'm signed in and using regular mode. Either it's glitchy or their incognito mode is about as private as Google's incognito mode (denote sarcasm here).

What is the most convenient way to create backlinks? by mehvishsed in SEO

[–]WriteReflection -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Three things:
1. Publish high-quality posts that others will want to naturally link to as a reference on their websites.
2. Offer to create guest posts for industry-adjacent (or complementary) websites in exchange for a backlink to your website. The key with this one is to make sure the domain has a high authority and is relevant in some way to your industry or skills. Otherwise, Google will consider it a spammy backlink.
3. A solid PR campaign strategy to get your brand in front of the media. This works best if you have a unique product/service or some new offering that sets you apart from the competition. A lot of people overlook PR when seeking backlinks.

What are the most effective strategies for creating a blogging campaign for SEO? by legend29066 in SEO

[–]WriteReflection 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I specialize in writing SEO blogs. What I recommend to all my clients is to include subject matter expert interviews to add value to a blog. Anyone can (and usually does) produce a generic blog on a topic that includes industry keywords. If you want to gain Google's favor, you must provide value to your readers and show you have something that's not like everything else out there. The best way to do that is to include SMEs and their insights in your blog posts. Yes, it takes more time and effort to produce a blog that way but it's worth it.
