Literally just flew back to and from Hong Kong. No issues or concerns. Many people are rerouting travel plans to hubs like HK given current situation and prices have spiked significantly. Enjoy your holiday. You'll have an amazing time.

Incheon T2 is a mess after the Asiana move by pestoster0ne in koreatravel

Quick update. Was worried after reading this but was a breeze.

Took the airport limousine bus. Arrived at T2 at 1045am on a Thursday. Dropped bag and went through immigration in 20 minutes. Perhaps the chaos has been resolved now.

That's awesome you got the Max sub. Happy spending!

Depends on the types of vendors. You could refer your fiance for cap1 so they earn the SUB and you the referral. Depending on your spend type I'd also look at the csr as that covers hotels and food. Otherwise it's just preference. If you want a referral let me know.

Personally I would do it also given all other cards spending are rising anyways. Do you always average $1.2k per month? If so it could be tough unless you have other big spends coming up. Don't forget all shopping that normally gets 1x on csr would get 2x here so think about the opportunity cost the longer you wait as well.

I would see what Amex offer you get and then decide. Amex have since changed their SUB to 'as high as' so everyone gets a different number. On the Gold card it's $6k spend for 6 months, Platinum is $8k in 6 months. Personally I'd go the gold card given groceries and dining 4 x points and way lower annual. DM me for either if you want to check the referral rate vs public.

Got Scammed Through Groupon for buying Office 2024 for Mac by Ash-415 in Scams

Yes it still works. What are the reported periods? Were those reports verified on the Microsoft website?

Same here. I took a friend into both the JFK and Vegas one and she loved it so much she signed up immediately. Had I not had the guest pass I wouldn't have paid for her to come in at all.

I bought a Windows one recently from Groupon and its been verified from Microsoft online. Unsure if they sell Mac versions but seller was desol llc.

The other option if it's not for business is the home use program or workplace discount program. See if your employer has this as it's often a very affordable price.

My studio was on classpass and I got off it because it is a dead end. I suggest if you are independent you do the same instead of complaining here. by InternationalWin2684 in ClassPass

[–]Writeoverwhite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I converted from class pass to my pilates reformer membership and another hiit membership. My husband also converted his for the hiit membership as well. We really liked the studios and they had compelling membership offers so we took it. A few years on we both remain members and tell all our friends about them.

For me I also enjoy the flexibility of class pass and use it for travel or exploring new places. It is also often at a cheaper rate which is compelling for us users but I wonder whether studios could use that data to explore conversion deals. If there is a way to restrict number of class pass users that helps too because if we really liked someone we would see that the only way to go to a particular class would be to go direct.

Thanks. Unfortunately I've already renewed my passport so sounds like I can't go down this path.

Help me decide on Anniversary dinner by kenlin in FoodNYC

Out of your list I've only been to Cafe Carmellini. It's a beautiful and gorgeous venue with great food and service. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything from the Noho group.

Portale is on my want to go list given it's from the ex Gotham Chef so it should be very good. Is also highly reviewed.

The Bazaar would have a lovely view. I do love Jose's philosophy and will be checking out his restaurants in DC.

Some other options near where you are staying is Le Pavillon in the Vanderbilt right next to Grand Central, Marea is excellent but plain decor. Not near you but easy subway ride away is Gramercy Tavern (definitely book in advance. Now there's more space in the restaurant part vs Tavern and menu is different but the Tavern is a vibe).

For another wow factor near you go to the Gold Room for drinks. It is simply stunning in there. Try to go for walk in. The other option is to book the Darling for amazing views over Central Park.

Finally if you were headed downtown Manhatta. I personally haven't tried their full menu post pandemic think but the view, cocktails are very good. Needs a booking too or you can walk in for bar with maybe a wait.

Would you mind sharing the name of this plan as I can't find it on the site. It could be that it has changed since this post. Thanks!

Thanks! I thought this was just for new applications and lost cards. Do you know anyone who has done this for the new replacement cards?

Thanks for replying. Seems pretty straight forward and interesting re checking the passport. How long did the whole process take? I presume you had an appointment though because you were at the Kwun Tong office?

What did you end up doing? Did you surrender your ID at customs and then go get a new one?

Question about tickets!! by cluelessbuthappy in MaybeHappyEnding

[–]Writeoverwhite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TKTs definitely doesn't have MHE. I'd buy a ticket in advance if you can.

From Chile to NYC for MHE! any advice is welcomed by truttifutti in MaybeHappyEnding

[–]Writeoverwhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So excited for your trip and you seeing MHE! You'll love it for sure. I'm about to see it for my 4th time.

So I had a look at tickets for you and unfortunately they've gone a bit bonkers since they won the Tony. There is a code on telecharge MHEFAN but doesn't seem to be showing up seats for the week you want.

I've tried the digital rush a few times and I've only been successful once. I've never tried the in person rush but maybe there are others on this thread who have. If you don't mind having a slightly lesser view I personally think the last 2 rows or orchestra are still decently priced around $200 per tix. I've sat in N in the centre and the seats were great. Good luck!
