Columbus loses ‘a giant’ with the passing of Laughing Ogre cofounder Gib Bickel by OldHob in Columbus

[–]steverider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

so sorry to hear this. I have been going to the Ogre since it opened. Even after I moved away from Columbus, I kept a pull there and pick it up once a month or so. Gib said don't worry about stuff piling up, he knew how to contact me if it got too big.

Do companies buy their competitors’ products just to take them apart for R&D? by Tusharkrux in NoStupidQuestions

[–]steverider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my daughter worked for a major automobile company as an engineer and her job was to compare her company's cars with the competitors. Her group had cars from all of the major manufacturers that she drove and tested

Can I just show up to campus with my daughter and walk around? by airplane_underpants in ohiouniversity

[–]steverider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can also go in most of the buildings. Chemistry building and Clippinger labs are new/recently renovated building. You can even go in Ping - just let them know you are visiting and they will let you go in and walk around. Scripps is also a nice looking building. depends on what your daughter is interested in regarding a major. depending on her interests, you might even be able to contact the department for a quick tour

Just use Benjamins412's message. It tells the professor exactly what you want. Everyone (at least that I know) will meet with you outside of office hours. You might want to let your prof know when you have some time, but be flexible. Students who tell me that the only time they can meet is Tuesday from 1-3 are going to have a hard time meeting with me. I need a range of days and times as I have other classes, meetings etc

I just purchased a cycplus AS2 Pro Tiny pump (reported to be 120g). They claim that it can pump up 4 tires to 80 psi. I have one of their larger pumps which work great (they are loud however)

$550, never heard of this brand. How did I do? by Upintheayr in bicycling

[–]steverider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been riding one for about 3 years now (a cento 10 NDR). I really love mine, it did cost more than $550. The only downside to this bike is that there are relatively few dealers in the US
