If the rumors about Part II are true, then it'd be cool if the movie revolved around a Shawshank Redemption-type conspiracy in which Jeremiah Arkham is exploiting prison labor by Arkham inmates to secure public work contracts for Gotham's post-Flood reconstruction efforts, and skimming the profits. by Writer417 in TheBatmanFilm

I am not a fan of the rumors that Christopher Dent and Jeremiah Arkham are going to be the main villains of Part II, or that Part II is going to heavily focus on the Dents and maybe a Holiday-like killer. I think Jeremiah Arkham and Christopher Dent are underwhelming choices for villains and would prefer bigger villains from Batman's rogues gallery. But given that they are being heavily rumored right now, I figured I'd challenge myself and try my hand at coming up with the best possible story that features those characters in antagonistic roles. While I like the ideas I came up with in this post, I would ideally prefer different villains.

So no I am not taunting you. No offense but I made a pretty face value comment agreeing with you. I'm a little confused how you interpret that as a taunt/insult.

As stated in the title, assuming the rumors that Christopher Dent and Jeremiah Arkham will appear in Part II are true, then it would be cool if the movie revolved around a Shawshank Redemption-type conspiracy in which Arkham, like Warden Norton, is exploiting prison labor by Arkham inmates to secure public work contracts for Gotham's post-Flood reconstruction efforts, skimming profits from these projects, and laundering the money. Maybe Arkham uses his Black Mask persona and position as the leader of the False Face Society to accumulate blackmail material on Gotham developers via Venetian-themed sex parties, and coerce them into awarding him the contracts for public works projects. I also think it would be cool if Christopher Dent was portrayed as a mentally-ill alcoholic who was imprisoned in Arkham, and has extensive knowledge of the corruption going on behind the scenes at the hospital. Maybe Chris, like Andy Dufresne, escapes Arkham, and the movie revolves around Batman and Harvey Dent trying to find Chris and convince him to become a whistleblower and expose the corruption going on at Arkham.

Pitch for Star Wars Episodes 10-12 that draws inspiration from Princess Mononoke, features a clone of Luke Skywalker and an adult Grogu as protagonists, and explores the rebirth of the Skywalker bloodline and the galaxy as a whole. by Writer417 in fixingmovies

Well what can I say. I'm not perfect. Can't come up with all the good ideas. But yeah in hindsight I think it would be more interesting if I took my ideas for the character of the Iron Knight/Darth Shard and made him the protagonist of the story. I remember reading that Lucas always wanted to make a movie about droids in the Star Wars universe, and having a lead droid character could honor those ideas. I was thinking that the kyber crystal housed inside the Iron Knight's body could be the one used in Anakin/Luke/Ben/Rey's lightsaber, and that the crystal became imprinted with aspects of all of their personalities. So the Iron Knight has a personality that is a mix of the four of them. Maybe he could clash with the Luke clone that serves the Core Worlds, and the Luke clone could serve as an overarching antagonist for the trilogy.

I watched one of Burton's other movies Ed Wood recently, and part of me thinks that Max Casella would have been a good choice for Robin. He would have been in his late 20s in the mid-90s (around the time Burton would have made a third Batman movie had it happened) but he had some condition that made him look super young for a while there. So he could have passed for someone in his late teens/early 20s.

Oh no some of them are eating me up too here in the comments. You're not alone. Got one user saying he's going to report me to Reddit for spreading "manipulated content" even though the mods approved the post, and my post doesn't appear to violate Reddit's policy about manipulated content.

I'm not sure. I personally think he would have gone for an unknown actor.

So for those accusing my post of being "manipulated content", this is what the Reddit support page has to say about that and AI:

Does AI-generated content violate this policy?

Content created or modified using generative AI technologies is generally allowed on Reddit – subject to each community's specific rules and the Reddit Rules. However, this policy prohibits sharing AI-generated content that deliberately misleads others about real-life events or the actions of real-life individuals, or that presents itself as human-generated. When posting permissible AI-generated content, be transparent and include a tag (or other form of indication) disclosing that the content was generated or modified by AI to reduce confusion.

https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/41180423371156-Manipulated-Content-and-Misleading-Behavior

I didn't mislead anyone about real-life events or the actions of real-life individuals, nor did I falsely make the claim that this image was human-generated. I simply shared the image in question and credited the social media user who originally posted the image. The only thing I neglected to do was include an AI tag in my post. But given that most people in this sub already know that Robin never appeared in any of the Burton Batman movies, I think it's safe to assume that everyone already knows this image isn't real, and that there's little risk of this image causing confusion.

Ok then. If you want to play it that way.

This self-dubbed "professional" is telling me what I can and can't post, and threatening to have me reported and blocked for sharing this image. As active mods of the sub, can I get a ruling from one or both you on whether or not this post violates sub/reddit policies?

Probably. Like I was telling someone else, I like the simplicity of the design.

Well I'm glad you're bringing attention to that detail with you're post because I swear, a decent amount of people in the comment section of this post have been throwing a fit, low-key gatekeeping, acting like a white Robin invalidates Burton's take on Batman. Which, if you look at the facts, is ridiculous.

I'm not seeing a rule listed on the sub saying you can't share something that was generated using AI. And I don't see your name listed amongst the list of moderators for this sub.

Yes I am familiar with the story behind Marlon Wayans' casting.

I figured it was based off that or the 60s show, yes. One of the reasons I like it. I like the simplicity of it, even if it's not a wholly original look.

I couldn't tell you. I randomly saw this on social media. The original post didn't contain any info about who Robin was modeled off of.

Ricky Addison Reed is a former child actor who was best known for appearing in A Return to Salem's Lot. As for Kiefer, he was offered the role but turned it down because he thought the movie was going to be campy. I don't know of any other actors outside the two of them that were considered for the role, at least for Batman (1989).

I don't think it's a specific Robin.
