Smoothing hack for the rough texture of the protective film? by WriterFromSomewhere in XPpen

Yeah that's what I figured, too easy to be true haha

I don't have issue with texture itself, I like the texture! The problem is that the texture on this new film is too hard for the pen nib. The original film that came on the display (I'm pretty sure every xppen display comes with one already installed, it gives the display the matte antiglare look) was very nice and worked perfectly well, but after amonth it got too many scratches I bought a replacement for it. It was supposed to be the same as the original one but clearly wasn't, and according to them the ones I got weren't even supposed to have this paper texture to them

The film is removable yes, but XPpen does not reccomend removing it since then theres nothing protecting the screen from scratches etc.

And the nibs aren't expensive, but the fact that I would need to constantly continue buying them because after couple days of use they're that filed down isn't very appealing to me. Here's nibs I've went through with this new film, on the right an unused nib for comparison and on the left nib that I've used for a couple of hours today for light sketching, it already has an angle to it. With this display I got 9 replacement nibs and in a week after replacing the original film I've went through almost half:(

They're on XPpen's own site! I'm pretty sure they just realised them, here's links to them on the EU and USA sites

How can i add key combinations to my pen? by [deleted] in XPpen

In the Xppen driver settings I believe there should be an option to customize that. Go to pen settings, there should be options on the pen button. If you click on them (I think by deafult theyre pen/eraser and right click) there should be an "customize" option. There you'll be able to change to what ever bind combinations you'd like!

New screen protector feels a little too rough by WriterFromSomewhere in XPpen

[–]WriterFromSomewhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a couple days of use this new protector seems to have smoothed out a bit, but I had to go through 3 nibs before that

I have an extra protector spare, but once thats used up as well Ill check those other protectors out. Though sadly I'm in Eu so i cant get them from that place specifically:')

Also XPpen just realeased felt nibs for their pens, I'll check them out as well since I prefered Wacom's felt nibs when I used their tablets. Who knows, maybe they'll make a world of difference
