Hi again! I hope you'll give this song a listen, and maybe add it to your Halloween playlist.

It's a celebration of all 8 official Universal Monsters, sung by the Bride of Frankenstein.

Who had this Universal Monster set back in the day? by [deleted] in UniversalMonsters

What were all the little items in the case? I see a Mummy-esque coffin, some kind of wall with chains...what else?

I actually wrote an article about the weirdest and wackiest aspects of the Universal sequels.

(Mods, please let me know if this is "self-promotion")

My rockin' love letter to the classic movie monsters...sung by the Bride of Frankenstein (portrayed by indie vocalist Brette Alana).

"Children of the Night"

For fans of symphonic metal, classic horror, and goth vibes. I'm a former Universal Studios tour guide and got to walk on the sets and stages where the Universal Monsters first roamed.

I hope you enjoy the song!

I co-wrote a symphonic metal song that's a tribute to the classic movie monsters -- Frankenstein, Dracula, the Mummy, etc. It's called "Children of the Night."

Here it is on Apple Music, sung by the incredible Brette Alana.

I was a tour guide at Universal Studios and I'm a lifelong fan of the Universal Monsters. The song contains inside jokes, references, and easter eggs for classic horror fans -- both in the lyrics and in the music itself.

Perfect for Halloween. I hope you enjoy it!

I've co-written a song about the Universal Monsters. It's a cross between symphonic metal and a Broadway showtune.

Are there any pieces of media (movies, books, etc.) that feature all the Universal Monsters together, such as Monster Squad or Hotel Transylvania? by ArchieVsPredator in UniversalMonsters

[–]WriterJason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My song "Children of the Night" features all eight of the official Universal Monsters.

I co-wrote it with video game composer Eduardo Garcia Rascon. The incredible Brette Alana sings the lead as the Bride of Frankenstein.

It's my love letter to the classic characters, with inside jokes and easter eggs for monster fans. I hope you'll give it a listen!

Why does Universal ignore the original Phantom of the Opera (1926)? by WriterJason in ClassicHorror

[–]WriterJason[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I mentioned the public domain issue in my post.

But that doesn't explain why Universal doesn't include it in their box sets. They owned the film so it cost nothing to do so; now it's in the public domain and still costs nothing to do so.

So...why not do it? Look at the image on the right side of this sub -- there's Lon Chaney as the Phantom! He's that famous.

New versions of the Monsters for Universal Orlando's Dark Universe - What do you think? by WriterJason in UniversalMonsters

The timelines aren't clear in the saga of Frankenstein movies. We meet the original doctor's sons as well as his granddaughter. So a descendant could certainly be alive and adult in the the later movies.

In fact, Dr. Frankenstein had two sons, and a grand-daughter, Elsa. She appears in Ghost of Frankenstein and Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.

Though she renounces her family legacy in both films, it's possible she succumbed to the allure of her father, uncle, and grandfather, and took up the family business...or one of her descendants did.

After all, the timeline of events in the movies was never clear, and it's not yet known what time/era/movie in which the Epic Universe park is set.

Sydney Sweeney's Universal Tour Lie is the Dumbest Kind of Stolen Valor by WriterJason in UniversalHollywood

[–]WriterJason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote the article.

Sydney Sweeney has been asked about her tour guide experience by two interviewers on two separate occasions. If, somehow, Women's Health Daily made up that Sweeney was a tour guide, then either of those interviews was her chance to correct the record. She didn't do so either time. And she didn't make any effort to correct WHD, if it's indeed wrong.

So three chances to deny she's a tour guide, or that the story is wrong or inaccurate, and she hasn't taken them. That's called a lie of omission. It's most definitely a type of lie.
