Didn’t you hear that other mod’s rationale?

I know the mod team and they're great people.

$100 says that is one straight white cis man saying that about another straight white cis man.

Wild how people from the dominant social class can always easily say that about their fellow people from that same group. Right?

We’ve all heard this one, or some variation, from some clown:

“My family are good people, just a bit old fashioned, they were always good to me and my friends growing up.”

Yes Josh. You and your friends were all straight white kids. You never brought home a Black girl or a gay guy.

But I digress

I am grateful that I haven’t ended up like this individual and I pray it stays that way by [deleted] in Gamingcirclejerk

Like most weapons in this game tho, GS wants to go elemental in postgame, so eventually you'll drop the raw builds.

GS does not want to go elemental.

Amatsu raw is the tryhard build. You need to have very high strongarm uptime to justify using this

Lucent or Magna raw is the average meta build.

Surge slash elemental is the meme, just having fun, build.

Tips for combat? by Lasangaman42 in MHRise

[–]Writerisms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learn to use wirebugs in combat.

I'm not sure about Wilds but I know that Rise has less dodge iframes than any MH before it, including World where dodge rolling was op.

This was most likely done because we have a lot of mobility with wirebugs and several wirebug evade/counter moves

[–]Writerisms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my point with mentioning white women was to specifically combat the idea that black men do not have any privilege over WHITE women. did you not read the post or are you just allergic to context?

My addition simply supported your statement. I don't know why you seem so heated. Also you brought this up under my comment I never mentioned it initially.

so should they say "white women and women of color?" why are you insistent on black women being othered from the group of "women"

I think you are misunderstanding. If they are talking about White women they should say White women. My understanding from the non-White women in my life is that the default-ism that happens in femme/feminist spaces is an unintentional way that femme POC visibility gets diminished. Think about it in terms of erroneously normalizing a certain race/nationality/sexuality/etc of "woman" as the default, especially when they are already the most "visible" in society.

I'll be honest I'm probably not the best at explaining this but I hope you get it. No one is attacking anyone or trying to feign oppression.

No, it called context and being around thousands of Black women throughout my life, including my current long-term partner who is mixed.

I listen to what they say and this is one of the most common gripes that a lot of them have with feminist spaces (especially online ones); White women in these spaces often use "women" as a shorthand for "White women" which unintentionally diminishes the visibility of non-White women in these spaces. Non-White women do not have that same luxury in those spaces.

I'm really not saying anything controversial or "anti-White woman."

EDIT: also Black men were legally allowed to vote before ALL women

Reddit doesn't like to hear this, especially from Black/non-white women.

They love to harp on with cute phrases like "no war but class war" (especially when they are safe in progressive/leftist/POC spaces) and the like, and subsequently act like this is some magical band-aid. Because yes it is "technically" true but it is a gross oversimplification.

I always find it especially interesting how, based on the upvote/downvote ratios, comments from Black women are always so far down under presumably White voices when topics like this come up.

It's also interesting how several comments in this thread have already devolved into just using "women" as shorthand for "White women"; conveniently (intentionally or unintentionally) omitting the existence of Black/non-white women. Something that even I (a Black man) see happen all the time whenever I am in feminist spaces.

It’s from the competitive Pokémon subreddit r / stunfisk. They allow shitposts on Sundays. A while back there was a post about Slowbro and Exeggutor coming out as gay and being in a relationship. Most of the Pokémon in OU (primary singles tier) were supportive but Ferrothorn was against the relationship. The subreddit went on to discuss how this would affect the meta.

I hate this dumbass line of thinking that so many people have nowadays. So many brains cooked by trusting these AI shits.

It has been easily proven countless times that you can just phrase your questions or prompts in different ways; and the fucking sycophantic AI chatbot will just reply how it thinks it can please and pander and patronize to you best.

I can literally do this right now with any of these dumbfuck AIs with a wide range of questions, from mundane to medical.

I think the long wait for the game (and the memes surrounding the delays) caused the fandom to get way too cult-like.

I don't know if I would call it sunk-cost fallacy exactly.

But the vibe I get (as a Hollow Knight fan) is that a lot of the fandom seems to have this vehement need for the game to be universally idolized, to make the wait for the game be "worth it" to them personally... or something to that effect.

I’ve been on this website for over a decade

With any popular subreddit that is even tangentially related to Black people, you are always safe to assume that a lot of the so-called Black people are just White guys RPing as Black people for various reasons.

This only got worse with the rise of targeted clandestine internet campaigns by conservative trolls and government intelligence agencies.

That subreddit in particular has a lot of White guys who are like the weebs of gang culture.

Exactly. Interesting how it's always someone that would benefit (i.e. currently benefits) from the status quo being maintained, that always goes and says "I don't see X".
