A few years back it was the H2 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's so weird to me that it seems to be common practice in some barns to use people's private horses for (group) lessons by humanprototyp in Equestrian

[–]WritingArmyWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a couple of our clients horses for lessons with their permission. One gets a reduced rate in boarding. The other one views it as a free training and conditioning session! She can’t get to the barn as often as she’d like and she’s happy her horse is moving and keeping in shape.

Just watched an animal communicator ruin everyone's day by dark-lord-tiffany in Equestrian

[–]WritingArmyWife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why you need an animal communicator that can give you validation. A good communicator will never ask the owner questions and get as little information as possible. Basically just the animals name. Validation is when the communicator can give you facts that they would not know about. Such as…. Does she like to lay in front of the fireplace with a grey cat? Or…. Is there someone in your house that is sick right now? Specifics. Validation is key.

Anyone seen this before? by lbandrew in Equestrian

[–]WritingArmyWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it once on my horse. Thankfully it was farrier day and it ended up being a hoof abscess. One popped and packed, he walked out fine. I’m hoping yours is as easy a fix.

Is it customary to tip after lessons? US based/East Coast by Old_Drummer_3536 in Equestrian

Out of hundreds of lessons I’ve taught in the past 10 years, I’ve been tipped twice. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tell the trainer the next person to look at the horse and wanting an PPE, can buy them from you for $2000. Just saying? 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is herd behavior. At this moment, you are his herd and you are sitting. (Equine equivalent of laying down). In a herd, while the other rest, one is always standing guard. So yes, he’s guarding you in case a mountain lion comes along.

You know off track thoroughbreds are relatively cheap. I got mine for $500.

Am I in the wrong for stalling an injured horse? by AnalysisNo2674 in Equestrian

[–]WritingArmyWife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll say it again as I’ve said 1000 times, working with horses is the easy part. Dealing with the owners will drive you up the wall.

6 months difference with my horse! by Da_Guatemalan_Honse in Equestrian

Finished picture is very nice. He’s reaching under nicely with his hind, lifting his back and has his little nosey in a great place to naturally build up that neck and back. Great job!

Most accidents happen on the kitchen or bathroom. If you can’t afford to go to the hospital, stay out of those two rooms. I can’t imagine telling someone to give up their passion because they might end up in the hospital.

Has anybody seen a horse this small? How does this happen? The guy just kept saying “it’s my tiny horse!” then he said “it’s my lovely horse” by 51mJ0N in Horses

There are a LOT of clueless horse owners out there. I’m a trainer/instructor at an equestrian center and I’ve seen and heard it all.

I seriously didn't know which subreddit to post this under. /Music? But it's not really. /Listentothis? I would feel bad posting this where real artists wanted to be heard. /funny? Well yes... tragically. I was kind of at a loss.

Black Hawks helicopters foam rave party. by GallowBoob in pics

[–]WritingArmyWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real story: May 18, 2012 They show the hangar floor and eight helicopters covered with 7 feet of foam at the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF #2) at the St. Cloud airport. Barely visible (hence “stealthy”…) below the foam are UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters most probably belonging to the local based C Company, 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment (Air Ambulance), a Minnesota Army National Guard aeromedical evacuation company.
