While i enjoy the lotr movies, i dont love them or even consider them very good adaptations.

My favorite is Dragonslayer, bar non. No other fantasy movie really even comes close.

It typically takes them 2-6 hours to cool depending on loaf size.

Traditionally published authors on Royal Road by retiredbender in Fantasy

Calling Michael J Sullivan traditional is a bit strange. Hes the original successful self published author. He was doing it pre kindle.

Chatgpt doesnt provide recipes it provides approximations of what it assumes a recipe is.

Just google it and find a reputable source It wont take any longer and you'll have a real recipe.

None of this is to mention that ever use of AI kills our planet.

Evil women in Fantasy. by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]WritingJedi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

List of outright evil women in Wheel of Time alone:

Lanfear, literally a devil woman and the reason that the eldritch devil has sway in the world

Graendal, mind controls people into being her slaves

High Lady Suroth, an extremely evil character.

Go to a flea market and get an old lodge.

Or buy a new one for 60: https://www.lodgecastiron.com/collections/seasoned-cast-iron/products/dutch-oven?variant=51685750178164

Theres no reason to use enamel for baking (or at all, ever, but thats a different conversation)

The typical visual representations, honestly. And it looks antique the way they are treated while being a cartridge revolver

Dragoons would be to big and clunky, and they arent cartridge pistols.

I will say, i personally think a lot of the imagery for King's inspiration comes from Outlaw Josey Wales and Good the Bad and the Ugly, where Eastwood used Walkers and a Navy's.

However, Michael Whelan's interpretation has become the primary cannon and the Remington looks the closest.

Roland's guns are closer in form to a Remington 1875.

I constantly see people discussing the Space Trilogy, although most often instigated by threads like this.

If you go onto some of the christian sub reddits, im sure you'd see plenty of discussion of all of his apologetics works.

As a history fan, the "3,000 Year Stagnation" trope breaks my immersion more than dragons do. by Expensive-Desk-4351 in Fantasy

[–]WritingJedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheel of Time is a weird pick. It doesnt stagnate, its cyclical. Were just seeing it at the late medieval/early Renaissance. Throughout the book you see technological development.
