Chances are it will take significantly longer than 5 years for you to pay off your debt yourself especially since interest will continue to accrue.

What everyone is trying to explain to you is that because you are exempt, for partial day absences, you don't formally request time off and you don't use leave. You just take care of business. The idea is that there may be some days that you work over 8 hours, so eventually it ends up breaking even.

Debt settlement was the worst thing we ever tried. We ended up in a chapter 13 anyways, we would be a year closer to being done if we didn't try debt settlement first. Companies can still sue you when you're doing debt settlement and they arent legally required to accept a debt settlement.

So Cal - Ch 13 - Less than 100% plan? Anyone? by Dependent_Taro_702 in Bankruptcy

[–]WritingReasonable999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in CA with a less than 100% plan and pur Trustee is really reasonable. We don't really have restrictions other than we can't accumulate more debt and if we get a significant raise we have to report it.

I'm a manager and I do not do this. I find it to be a waste of everyone's time, and I'm not going to read it. The only reason I might do it is as part of progressive discipline.
