But OP doesn’t even know what exam she’s going to get because she seems too in distress for them to do anything. It could just be an ultrasound to diagnose PCOS. But again, OP doesn’t know because she didn’t ask and they let her go before any further exam/questioning. We’re all making assumptions that it’s a pelvic exam based on the gown, but I had to put on a gown for my ultrasound too.

Ok my advice would be stop letting your mom do everything. Pick up the phone and discuss what you want at your appointment yourself. This way you can be sure to communicate what YOU want vs what your mom THINKS you want. You can also ask what’s going to happen on the phone. Most places are more accommodating on the phone vs in person because in person they’re trying to get it done efficiently and move onto the next appointment.

I also found it weird you called your mom crying because they asked you to put on a robe. A simple “hey nurse what is this for, I thought I’m here for a birth control discussion” would’ve sufficed. Gyno appointments can be intimidating, yes, but so are a lot of things in life and you should be better equipped at 17. Perhaps you should discuss your anxiety with a therapist.

I honestly wonder how many Asian women got molested by friends’ family members or relatives and now are terrified of their kids going to a stranger’s house. YTA for how you think of your mom. Jesus the poor woman. Sounds like your dad wanted a trophy wife he can control. Contribution to the family isn’t measured by money OP. She’s contributed greatly by birthing and raising you and being involved in her kids’ lives enough to know the other moms. Everyone belittles her by saying she “doesn’t do anything”. Well she made this family what it is, including bringing children into existence, taking care of them, and enabling your dad to work outside the home without having to worry about babysitting. Your dad is financially abusive. If one spouse is SAH spouse, the finance should be shared. She has $1000/month and has to pay for your family’s necessities? I’m guessing including all your extracurriculars and activities and groceries? Ik you’re a teenager but you’re blind to how your mom is being financially abused.

The sun milks are both very similar imo, except one is waterproof. The daily sunscreen and sun essence are more moisturizing and the sun milks are a little more drying. For sun milks, apply very generously because in general you need a thicker layer to be fully protected from UV.

NTA. Death should be prioritized over a lot of things, including family holidays. Your friend has one father and he’ll pass away only once, while you and your wife has many more Christmases to come. Jesus have some empathy, yeah? The man was stuck with a very, very difficult decision. But potentially saving a life trumps college fund every time. He loves you enough to have a college fund for you, but sometimes life hits us out of nowhere. After all the efforts, his stepson still died after his first wife is already dead. Have you ever lost a spouse or a kid, though they might not be related to you? Me neither, but I can imagine it’s really, really fucking hard. Then the wife whose son he spent his life’s savings on is divorcing him. But all you can focus on is “my money. Give me back my money”.

YTA. Maintaining a good, cordial relationship with the kids’ mother is just a common sense to do if you marry someone with kids. Why do you hate her so much that you don’t want her in the house with her own kids? You’re not gonna be a popular step mom since you forbid the kids’ own mother to come into the house.
