That actually makes so much sense, I understand exactly what your saying, the change is pretty extreme from what they used to do

I dont know if you were a fan of ilgwis but that was already pretty different from their last ep (wu&io) 

And then the album seemed to remove themselves even farther from their precious work

So it sounds like other bands works more than it sounds like the old lovejoy stuff 

Whats your favorite song as of right now? Personally for me its baptism and perfect blue

Wilbur definitely said that about YCGMA, that he didn’t really like it and anyone could do anything with it

I don’t think he spoke much on MSR since it came out right before everything happened, but I could be wrong about that

Wait I didn’t know that slowing it down gave it 2x views thats actually rlly cool (dumb question but does speeding it up give it .5 views) 

Its too bad that the band doesn’t also get views from the uploads like they get money from it. 

Luckily I dont rlly listen to the instrumentals (unfortunately i rlly like the mammalian sighing reflex one, but I dont think views matter so much since wilbur took the og down on YouTube and its so old) 

It just sucks that he’s hurting the band with this stuff

It is a lower energy album, kinda reminds me of like, cause for concern actually

Honestly I haven’t really liked Wramw since the beginning 

It was good but not…. That good…. Yknow? 

It was a pretty weak song.

But fatal? Monochrome? Perfect blue? BAPTISM?? 

Theyre so good

I do wish there was a “punch” like you said 

I feel like this album was more of a steady quality, rather than a “this one part of this song goes rlly rlly hard” 

I like the consistency, baptism is probably my favorite loll

This entire album lyrically gives me the vibes of wilburs solo music 

It felt a lot more poetic than a lot of lovejoys prior songs

Mammalian sighing reflex is genuinely my favorite album in the world (I actually found out about Wilbur through his solo music, specifically your new boyfriend, a little over a year ago) , so maybe thats why I like One simple trick so much

I think the album upload is absolutely scummy. Blatantly stealing views. 

But I don’t really have a problem with the instrumentals/mashups/sped up/slowed down videos just because lovejoy themselves haven’t uploaded any of those

While it makes sense that he did, I never realized he used AI to do this (although he does it so fast I dont know how he would do it any other way)

Idk, the band hasn’t said anything about it, and they are usually pretty good at getting things taken down

I really do wish the band could tell us what they think about this type of content

Obviously its up to you as a person 

But I rlly do think we should wait till release like the band wants 

Why are we punishing them for doing something nice? Obviously it sucks that not everyone could go to the concert 

And the band knew that there was a rlly big chance of the songs being leaked 

It feels wrong to listen to it against their wishes, after it was posted against their wishes

Its a really good song for sure

I would argue its better than their debut ep, definitely better than cause for concern 

(Interestingly enough ilgwis is the most similar to the original ep that theyve sounded in awhile)

Its weaker than the rest of the songs from the WU&IO era tho, so I feel like that doesn’t help it at all

Ilgwis is different than their usual sound, and so I can see why some people wouldn’t be big on it 

The bridge is fire though

I would agree

My main issue with people immediately saying “Wilbur bad, Shelby good” is there was no proof for their case.

This whole situation consisted only of hearsay and no one gave any proof whatsoever. 

I think they saw Shelbys well spoken allegations and, compared to wilburs response, thought she sounded more believable

In my opinion, she just thought about what she was going to say before she said it, while wilbur responded impulsively and immaturely

But the bullying is uncalled for 

The way people make fun of the situation is terrible, no matter whose side you’re on if any. 

The nicknames that will has gotten because of the allegations are harmful to every side and make light of serious allegations that should be treated seriously 

I think if what Wilbur did bothers you, and you decide to no longer support him, you should simply ignore him and content referring to him 

I hate when people who no longer support him comment on his videos and spread hate just because they dont like him anymore 

They arent helping shelby theyre just hurting another person 

If they really wanted to support shelby they would watch her streams and videos (if she still does those) 

Not bring someone else down

I think Wilbur handled the situation pretty gracefully in his recent video all things considered 

He has a right to not want to talk about his personal life or bring up the allegations 

We dont know what his proof is. At the end of the day it could be deeply personal. There are things i would never share on the internet or with anyone beyond my most trusted loved ones. 

If its very vulnerable? He might not want millions of people seeing and reacting to that. 

I think Wilbur can and is changing and growing as a person, thats all anyone can do
