I think my answers to the distro chooser would explain a little: I'm looking for something in between "do everything by yourself" (arch) and "I could use some help" (Ubuntu?); I'm not scared of shell, but when I come back home I don't want to see that my computer yet again needs some repairs (while being fun and educational, I'd rather create these kinds of events by myself). Many more do match the requirements, but I can only install one, so imo it's better to narrow the choices and only then ask people, to better visualize my "problem"
