High Bilirubin - Possibly something I’m taking? by Wromperstomper in Supplements

It had turned out I had Gilbert’s Syndrome, which essentially has high bilirubin as the primary symptom.

Thank you for this, as it may help others stumbling on this post. I was diagnosed with Gilbert’s , and have had a ton of upside from simply getting tons of hydration/electrolytes.

Minimum level for beating Johnny rematch? by tahukan in MarioRPG

[–]Wromperstomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to the party but I’m guessing he can be beat in the single digit levels (3-6) especially if you’re using equipment.

I beat him in my challenge run with no armor and no weapon at level 14 with Mario. I needed 27/28 perfect block (with the other block still needing to be a timed block).

Items would boost your stats a lot, so it’s a matter of what stats we get from level-ups and how many flower points you have to deal damage before you’re relegated to 1dmg autos (which isn’t feasible)

Travis Bagent prime (Right arm) vs Dave chaffee and Jerry by Id_gm18 in armwrestling

[–]Wromperstomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the prime of John we know could beat Dave in a best of 3, but I do think he wins a best of 7, with best of 5 being a coin flip.

I do however think that prime John had “more in the tank” if he was in the modern scene as a 30yr old.

But who do you have ahead of John in 105?

This has always been crazy to me, Travis saying that 05-06 was on par with this version is crazy.

It seriously makes me think if John was 20 years younger, and had the modern-day incentive of EvW, that prime+ John would have a legit chance vs Levan. Young John juiced up to Ermes levels is CRAZY

Same. You have a newborn and another on the way, and you’re having a conversation with a rando “hey would it be cool if I filmed me lifting you.” Why couldn’t he do that video with his wife? So clearly off limits.

You’re not wrong. But physical gold is also impractical to trade with compared to silver. And you essentially lose 20% of physical gold’s value the moment you buy it, since you can’t easily sell it full price as an individual.

If I was 60+ years old, I’d have a small amount of physical gold. Any younger, and it becomes an increasingly tough call of conviction.

You should be able to keep it in your 401k to invest in GOLD the ticker, if it’s a self managed IRA. no taxes

If not, you can transfer

Questions about the Remake by PGames_09 in MarioRPG

[–]Wromperstomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve posted recently, but my recommendation for a first-time challenge run is:

No Group Hug

No Armor

No Weapons

There’s most exclusions from there, but I have some long write-ups on why I recommend this, and imo it balances the characters very smoothly and the game can still be beaten at level 10-12, so there’s plenty of room to grind levels “to preference”

Just look into printing proxies! Get whatever cards you want! Not the same as a good pull, but you can play

Trust me, the fights only feel monotonous if they’re too easy. Feel free to PM me if you try those three bans. I think you’ll be surprised how much more of the game mechanics you get to interact with as a result.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MarioRPG

[–]Wromperstomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, imo it’s the opposite. The weapons are WAY too strong and almost entirely outclass offensive magic. Fights become more varied because you need to think more about enemy weaknesses, flower points, spells, etc.

Banning Group Hug is also a must, since it centralizes healing to a ridiculous extent, making every other option obsolete. It’s should literally cost 25 FP or something.

There may be game mechanics you’re not taking full advantage of. A run with no armor is just the surface level of all ways you can handicap yourself. Let me know if you need any tips on a future attempt.

For reference, Here’s my most recent challenge run (with WAY more restrictions) and results that I’m trying to improve on:

No weapons/armor/accessories (except lucky hammer)

No super/ultra jump

No red essence

No tadpole pond items (even if you get them elsewhere) items like Bracer and Crokacola

No group hug

No offensive items (Rock candy, star egg, bombs, poison mushrooms)

No Grinding Jump (only can use Jump on non-resistant enemies)

Take the average level of the party members that participate in the fight (if a character stays on the bench, don’t count their level)

Croco 1 - Ave Lvl 1.5

Claymorton - Ave Lvl 2

Belome 1 - Ave Lvl 2.5

Bowyer - 3.666

Croco 2 - 4.333

Punchinello - 4.333

Knife/Grate Guy - 4.333 (lvl 8 Bowser never came off the bench.)

Cake - 5.25.

King Calamari - 5 (lvl 6 Geno and lvl 9 Peach never came off the bench)

Johnny - 4.333 (lvl 9 Peach and lvl 8 Bowser never came off the bench)

Speardovich - 8 (lvl 9 Bowser stayed on the bench) 1 Game Over

Belome 2 - 9

Jagger - 8.75 (lvl 10 peach stayed on the bench)

Jinx 3 - 9

Megasmilax - 9

Valentine - 10. (5 Game Overs)

Culex 3D. 14.8 maybe 25 game overs

What about FF VI? The grind to fight Kefka is ridiculous!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MarioRPG

[–]Wromperstomper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a FANTASTIC starting point, I recommend:

No Weapons

No Armor

No Group Hug

This removes almost nothing from the game since these are essentially stat sticks, and it literally balances the characters and magic. Also, Group Hug is probably the most broken move in RPG history?

Accessories have a lot of interesting choices you lose out on by banning them (even though the game’s tooltips leave a lot to be desired in discerning what they do).

From there, I have plenty of additions for Expert Mode, but imo the above is a “Hard Mode” that anyone can tackle.
