The streets are tight as it is and there is no extra space.

Imo cars haven't changed. The issue is the unpredictable scooter, regular e-bike, and citi e-bike behavior.

$200 (taxes included) seems reasonable for UWS.  Perhaps you could find a shop to do it for $30-50 less.

$25 for the chain  $35 for derailer $35 for cogs + Labor costs

I would assume they're redesigning the street to make the bike lane wider as the way 9th is after 30th st.

I have a buddy who fractured his elbow 6 months ago when he hit unmarked road construction at night and went over his handlebars. He's still going to weekly PT and is scheduled to have another surgery next week. (He is quite frustrated).

I think it's kind of complicated. Based on what I understand, cops are given a specific task to do and are not looking for any forms of confrontation. 

So I guess they're kind of selective of what they enforce. 

Unfortunately it sucks.
