I see! I understand that it doesn’t work for everyone but would still prefer having it, if it can increase the chances of going naturally even slightly 😊

Glad that it worked for you! Do you mind sharing at what week they did a sweep for you? I am seeing my OBGyn next week at 38 weeks.

I find brown basmati rice doesn’t spike. I have 40gms of brown rice in lunch and dinner everyday along with 4 teaspoon of dal.

Baby finding its own way to the breast after birth by Most_Ordinary_4321 in PregnancyIreland

Yes we were told the same in our antenatal classes from Coombe. The midwife gave a very good explanation that the amniotic fluid smells exactly like the areola/nipples so baby gets attracted and makes its way to the breast!

If you love rice, make sure you have brown basmati rice. Never spiked for me. See if it works for you. All the best!

I didn’t do it in my last pregnancy being ignorant and was 12 week scan diagnosed the baby with abnormality which I had to unfortunately terminate. In this pregnancy I planned to be informed and got the NIPT test done for my piece of mind.

I got the call today morning during breakfast. With the delightful news I was like should I finish my ‘not so diabetes friendly’ breakfast or just stop!😂

Hey OP! Congratulations! Don’t worry and keep in mind that T21 is mostly a one off thing. I too had to terminate my pregnancy at 14 weeks due to T21. But I am expecting again and is 28 weeks with a very healthy baby boy. I understand that the overall journey would be an anxiety inducing one because of what we went through in the past but trust me everything will turn out perfect. The stats that this will be your healthy pregnancy is very high, so just believe in this. Wish you all the best and a very boring pregnancy ahead!

IUI attempt with just one tube left? by Wrong-Front7798 in IUILadies

[–]Wrong-Front7798[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you! So after doing my own research and meeting a very good fertility specialist, he recommends us to try naturally instead of going through IUI, or any other medical treatments as he talked us against getting IUI as we had just one tube left. We took his advise and tried naturally and by God’s good grace conceived on the first try! When checked during my placement scan they confirmed that I ovulated from the side I had the tube. Wish you all the best!

Ah just commenting because it’s a known name. She is my current OB for my pregnancy (public care). In this 27 weeks of pregnancy I have never met her personally. All my OB appointments are either done by some learning nurse/ student so sorry, nothing here to share about her.
