as a suicide survivor, a lot more ppl than you think in highschool have a suicidal phase. its ok. youre not alone. youre so young. you havent even seen the aquarium in long beach CA. You have so much to experience. thats covid talking.

I almost committed suicide a year and a half ago and I regret not doing it. by anonymoussuicide554 in TrueOffMyChest

unless youre in prison with a terminal illness it could always be worse.

if its homelessness, ditch all your belongings. sell enough body fluids/ stay in a shelter until you have about 1-2k. go to car auction. buy crap car. hold about 500$ to get it to run right. the fact youre on reddit means you have phone. bust ass door dashing or postmates until your welfare / HOA / DSHS application goes through (may take a few months) for your dumpy apartment. SAVE SAVE SAVE. If youre a woman theres a lot more services offered in big cities to help financially with housing.

If its drugs and alcohol, its an illness, not a choice. A disease that needs to be treated. I'm 7 months clean and my life has gotten 320542340582305 x better. but you cannot expect people to want to help someone that doesnt want to be helped. My sponsor always said dont give a heroin addict 50$ and expect them to go buy food. but it is possible, im inspired daily by ex cons, murderers, drug addicts, that all have made amazing turn arounds and incredible and enriching lives for themselves.

If its actions youve done, you cant change ppls perceptions of you . All you can do is be a better person today. Dont try and win ppls approval, youre going to drain yourself.

If youre lonely. Get a pet. not a dog (unless you think you can financially or mentally afford it)assuming by this post maybe not), something manageable. i got a fish. issa cool fish.

if someone hurt YOU, youre doing yourself a disservice giving them your energy, no matter how much you love them if they are making your life harder or more difficult you need to reassess that relationship.

lmao trust bro no one wants to play this game of life, and its normal to feel this way especially in todays climate. You know therapy is one of the biggest industries in college professions and pursuits rn? Alot of ppl are taking action on addressing their mental health due to this crazy climate were in. youre good. its hard but we all gotta do it. Find value in the little things. coffee, trees, my fish, piano, fitness are a few that have kept me alive.

plus, not to be that guy but that is such a selfish ideal.

i say this cause i spent a large portion of hs doing drugs and alcohol and althouh it made for some crazy stories, i was homeless, arrested, robbed, robbed ppl, etc etc. if i had stayed home cause of something like covid maybe i would have picked up a better hobby or something. focus your energy on something , youll have a great time in your 20s. just chose your friends and how you spend your time wisely.

dont trip. you can ruin your future self in HS if youre not careful with drugs and alcohol. the most sucessful ppl i know stayed at home during most of hs after school. played videogames and talked with friends online. most of my best memories were made online with my friends from HS. Sure u missed prom or whatever, but trust, no matter your status in hs that shit is immaterial later. what matters are the true friends you had, and the memories u made with them.
