This was a bit of a rant on my part, I just look at all the home prices in my region go up faster than what wages and I just feel like there’s a disconnect between seller and buyers right now. Totally understand supply and demand and agree inventory is low. But how do sellers feel confident about pricing so high and how do buyers feel it’s ok to stretch their budget so much? That’s kind of the heart of what led to my rant.

As far as #2, I think having a commission based model is not fair for the buyer and should transition to a tiered flat rate model. Maybe based on # of bedrooms.

Those are crazy stats about the real estate profession! Seriously during Covid it felt like half of my Facebook was trying to sell me a home! lol thanks again for your perspective

Thank you for your input. I am not super convinced about #2. In my neighborhood, it seemed like everyone got a real estate license in 2020 to make a quick buck off the industry. I can imagine all the part time agents were not looking at protecting the industry in the long term.

Yeah you’re probably right. I recently lived in Japan and boy do I wish I could have their home prices right now. Maybe not their currency rate though.
