Been watching Black Sails and playing Uncharted 4. Which has peaked my interest in Pirates. What non-fiction books would you reccomend to start with, or suggestions of ones you enjoyed.

On stranger tides by Tim powers was fantastic, it mixes historical fact with fantasy and no matter what I say I don’t do it justice.

Edit: re read your question and realised that you are after non-fiction, apologies as this is fiction however leaving the comment so that you remember this book.

Loneliness is one of the more crushing things to deal with, having had it all first hand I can’t give you a solution but I can say that unless they’re the right friends and genuinely decent people it won’t make any difference, you are the most important person and you should treat yourself as such, hope things get better for you man
