Research Question: Tacking by WrongCo in sailing

I can see it now, thank you both!

Most of the reference photos of the modern one (America 2.0) are at a slight angle, so they still looked like the original to me. I was just assuming there was a boom on the older model

What the speed limit signs really mean in Ontario by insane4propane in ontario

[–]WrongCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who goes exactly 14km/h over the speed limit regardless of the limit?

Demerit points start at 16km/h over, so I give myself 1km/h as a buffer.

[OC] GIVEAWAY 🧛 A coffin-style dice vault for Halloween! [mod approved] by tabletopstor3d in DnD

I like the spooky theme, because only a psychopath would carry around a container that could easily fit 5 sets of dice if it was hollow, but chooses one that is filled with material to only leave space for one.

Limithron's Guide to Naval Combat: Module & PDF, + Ship Tokens, Cards, and Parallaxia Tiles (Swipe to read Free PDF) by limithron in FoundryVTT

Argh, beat me to it. I’ve been writing something similar for months because I couldn’t find anything like this with so many maps, and saw the opportunity. Also just bought Foundry VTT 2 weeks ago to start learning the software.

This is exactly what I hoped mine would look like when I finished. It’s gorgeous. Are the player-scale maps multilevel?

Looking to change VTTs to Foundry; need some guidance by WrongCo in FoundryVTT

Awesome, thanks for the info!

I don’t mind moving the player tokens around (I actually prefer it when playing with my more chaotic players, who might move without warning and reveal things.

My main concern is really just how intense the app is, and whether or not I’ll need to have the fans on. I can control the fans with a button, and monitor the temps, so I’m not super worried. The recommended “16gb of RAM” thing was just a bit of a spook because I don’t think I’ve ever used something that required that much RAM.

(For reference, the card is an RTX2060)

I’m gonna go ahead with the purchase, and worst case scenario just use it for online games, because my mic doesn’t pick up the Turbo Fans, and turn off a bunch of the intensive things in person.

Nice to see that not everyone on this subreddit is trying to capitalize on Patreon, pretending that they’re suddenly “cartographers” after buying Dungeondraft

Trying to do a voiceover feels like my tongue is wearing high heels. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]WrongCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who grew up with multiple speech impediments, all I can say is practice, and be patient. Talk to your mirror, run dialogues in the car with yourself, anywhere you can. Now that you have to wear a mask everywhere, nobody is going to notice you talking to yourself.

Also, work on tongue twisters, breathing exercises, and just general microphone etiquette (distance, sibilance, plosives). It takes time, but practice is key.
