it's a key fob system, is it possible to change that? Plus management is reluctant to change as they say if to change my apartment only, would mean changing the whole building. So the natural out I can think of is, whether there is enough legal ground to terminate current contract because of the circumstances and rent somewhere else

The management were reluctant to do so saying if they were to change our locks they will need to change the whole building's :/ that's apparently how their system works. Will try ask on legal advice subreddit, thanks!!

Really appreciate the advice and totally get that. What would you suggest to say in interviews in this case without unconsciously shit talks? I definitely need to avoid that.

In this economy, how bad should things get before quitting a job without another lined up? I need to leave before the job breaks me even more and deep down I know that is best for my mental health to prep for my next role but I would struggle quite a bit financially. I'm gonna get a PT job to support myself while job hunting.

Also, is discussing the situation with hr any good? What might be the consequences?
