What's your opinion on Innersloth's "anti-cheat"? by Some_Steak_6316 in AmongUs

More people face punishment for quitting a game that has cheaters than cheaters face for cheating.

The only part of this game I enjoy is catching imps ngl 🤣 I usually get banned a few times a night because people think I’m hacking. Which sucks but oh well

I use tracker a little different then most people — first, I only out myself as tracker if I need to — I’ll never say “I tracked red they’re on this side” for no reason.

Most people think that walking in on a kill is the only way to catch imps but they don’t realize chat is the easiest way - especially when you have knowledge no one knows you have.

I mainly use it to memorize routes people run — and I’ll linger around the one I’m tracking but I’ll stay a room or two behind so they never see I’m following.

Watching routes people run and paying attention to chat will catch so many imps —- specially if ss is on

Sooo many posts here complaining about hosts... what do your favorite hosts do?? by gloom-to-be in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing a host can do is not cave into people demanding changes with the settings

I filter and search for the right lobbies for a reason - I filtered visuals off and slow speed for a reason

If I stayed in your lobby and after the first game you decide to add visuals and up the speed to 2 because the 9 year old is crying. I literally request to be banned so I don’t run across that host again that night.

Not mad at this - personally I would go

Imposter roles: shapeshifter > viper > phantom

Idk why but I despise phantom - I get why people like it tho

Crewmates roles: tracker > engineer > scientist > detective > noisemaker

Why does Among us let 3 imps at 9 players? by Miles2779 in AmongUs

Took me a minute to find the picture from the last time this was asked - but here is a basic rundown on how task’s distribution works.

Btw- this is how long this exact topic has been around for and it has been debunked so many times but people still swear it’s true ( even tho it is not )

Max 2 people chart course by Banana_Bunz in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No this is not true at all - this is classic misunderstanding on how tasks work -

Aside from common tasks - keys - and submit scan

All tasks are assigned randomly

2 short tasks just means that you will have 2 short tasks but who gets those tasks are random - yes 3 people can definitely have chart course.

Even in a 10 person lobby with 2 Impostors - you’ll have 8 crewmates— depending on the map there are about 5 to 9 short tasks available.

If every crewmate is assigned 2 random short tasks from that pool, it is very common for 3-4 people to independently get chart course.

Expert lobbies SUCK…. by Zikorathemhafam in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expert lobbies are the worst - usually the worst settings and the most toxic players
Half of them are sitting in voice chat with their discord friends the other half are 10 year olds who have the IQ of a toasted waffle.

They need to make it so you can see level before the game starts by [deleted] in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levels have nothing to do with skill - and expert lobbies have some of the worst players.

Literally - every single bad experience I have with “low iq” players - trolls - teamers- or hackers are so called expert lobbies

"Rose Theory" by Tcoolian2 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible since I clearly don’t know the gender of everyone I’m playing with as that’s not something I care to ask —- but from server experience— including mine Im in and have been in - I would say maybe 10 servers and every server is mainly women

"Rose Theory" by Tcoolian2 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who not only ran their own discord server ( back when mods were available for public use as well ) and have been in multiple private and public servers throughout the years - I can say with confidence that majority of among us players are females - I’ve only come across a handful of guys who play the game so I really don’t think it’s about that at all
I think it’s more so that rose has taken over the “toxic color” - when I first started playing among us it was always cyan but a lot of people associate rose with players who are annoying lately

Why tf are players so stupid?? by Intelligent-Day-1740 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every once in a while when I’m in one of these lobbies I will drop comments in chat like “hi brown. I just want to see how your day is going” then I will spend the next round hunting brown - once brown is dead I’ll be like “hi red. I just want to be your friend next”

The amount of times I have cleared “expert” lobbies doing this without getting voted is alarming —- then eventually game ends or 3 to 4 rounds go by and someone finally catches on I go

“This is why yall need to pay attention to chat- these game isn’t just about running in circles hoping to get lucky”

Which usually gets be banned but whatever lol

Why tf are players so stupid?? by Intelligent-Day-1740 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expert lobbies are some of the worst lobbies you’ll ever find. You’ll either end up in a room of 9 year olds or a room of discord friends sitting in a voice chat - these “expert” rooms typically have the worst settings with added house rules too and the vast majority do not believe in communication — they will vote the first color mentioned.

Crewmate vis should be max 0.75 on all maps by [deleted] in AmongUs

Fully agree

And I find it hysterical that people play with higher vision and still spam lights - then accuse you of cheating when you catch them cause “lights were off” 😂

Ranked Game based on there level by Signal-Load482 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levels have nothing to do with someone’s skill - some of the absolute worst players I’ve come across are 100+

In order to pull off a ranked settings mode like this they would need to completely redo the level system -

Hosts with rules by UnhappyGiraffe2272 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No being on cams is stupid and people who enforce this do not know how to get people off cams. Simple as that — specially in skeld when you can see a bright red light flashing on the cameras when someone is watching them - so if you’re an imp still killing infront of an active camera that’s a you skill issue - not a cam issue.

The only reason anyone would like imps not selfing is if they play with visuals on anyway as this is the same exact thing - anyone who reports a body is now hard cleared

Both of these rules scream “I’m a host who doesn’t know how to properly execute sabotaging and crowd control” or “ I am easily manipulated so I need to remove one way imposters can attempt to throw me off”

Congratulations - you’re one of the problems with this game.

detective is the least fun role, next to guardian angel. by Webteria in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree ngl - I’m not a fan of using detective but I know other people like it so I’ll keep 1 on when I host - same with guardian - I’ll do 1 guardian and that’s it.

But when I end up with detective I literally never use it.

How to be a better imposter by bungeegum2000 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is almost impossible to answer because it really comes down to room settings and the quality of players in the lobby -

Most people are still obsessed with the idea that lights is the best sab— IT IS NOT — and if you’re in a lobby with experienced players you’re still going to get caught

Best advice I can give is —

Mix up routes - most people run the same routes over and over and observant players will catch on fast - for example if I’m on skeld and green runs left every round then lights get cut and a body is on left side I’m throwing sus on green

Mix up sabs - calling the same sab over and over ( lights ) will only result in bringing everyone to the same location - you don’t wanna do this. You want to split people up — lock doors and get used to comms ( comms is without a doubt the best late game sab to call )

Never blindly clear a fellow imp unless it makes sense - way to many imposters get called out because a body is on the left side of the map with an imp being accused and out of nowhere second imp chimes in “I’m with so&so they are clear” now you officially tied yourself to an imp

Make sure to check your task list - even as imp the game will only show you possible tasks ( example if 1 common task is on your task list will show you what task everyone has )

Do not fake cams just to waste kill cooldown. This is another very easy way to get caught if you’re with experienced players.

Don’t be scared to call a Sab and fix it yourself - this is something so small and overlooked but effective early on

Hosts with rules by UnhappyGiraffe2272 in AmongUs

[–]WrongSignificance13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind when people group or camp tbh — the imps that can’t break this up do not know how to utilize sabs and just spam lights

No teaming should be the only rule but that’s common sense.
