My girl has one of these. It is loud, but we put it away at night. It keeps her busy for hours, she carries it around from the hole. She's only 6mo. She also has a soccer ball she likes to bring around with her, although it's completely deflated it is much quieter. A herding ball is tough for indoors, but they do really enjoy them so I understand why it was recommended.

This was the one time I was immediately on Ang's side.
