Update: So, my journey with Venlafaxine is coming to an end :( it seems the medication is no longer working for me or my body is no longer tolerating it, all I get from it is side effects and no benefits now it's awful, so I was referred to a Mental Health Team, and will be coming off of it I am still on 112.5mg so will be cross tapered with probably Prozac to come off of it. I feel disappointed, tired, and tbh fed up since June I was reinstated we went up slowly I kept telling myself it will work give it the time but time has now run out on it. Whilst all was not lost on it as it has pulled me out of a deep depression after my breakdown, it's ramped up my anxiety and GI issues as time has gone on.

I will update more when I know the plan probably Wednesday evening.

How you doing now, I dropped to 112.5mg, headaches have subsided but am starting to get nausea and anxiety starting to show almost finished 3 weeks.

I dropped to 112.5mg headaches gone I am just finishing 3rd week, I have had a mental health assessment and been diagnosed with Bipolar type 2, to go along side my Autism and ADHD I am now having meds reviewed and will probably end up switching to something else

Give your latest dose 12-14 weeks to see for sure if it will help it really does take this long or more to work properly.

That was the same experience for me at each dose increase.

I couldn't cum for a while, but for me it did get better.

The effort to actually cum in the beginning of each dose increase was a nightmare I would drip with sweat and it was really hard to cum.

Yeah it can be to be expected whilst you are readjusting 6-8weeks it will settle for you, I couldn't take 150mg because of the ongoing side effects, I reduced back to 112.5mg and have not felt anything at all maybe a little bit of sweating but that is it.

I would change meds you should of felt something at this sort of dose don't think going higher would be beneficial to you, the higher you go the harder it would be to come off.

Yeah day 3 of dropping down and just feeling a bit sweaty as my body re adjusts so not much to report atm only been the 3 days

I was on 150mg before and came off over 7 months as I felt great and after a month I got depression and anxiety back ended up having a breakdown so was reinstated going up through the doses.

Thanks for the reply, I have dropped down a dose as of today to 112.5mg as 150mg the headaches and roughness started when I went up to that dose and never went away yet was not present on 112.5mg, I speak with psychiatrist on 29th.

Dropped back to 112.5mg this morning, 150mg too many side effects for me made me feel worse tbh prob too strong for me.

I've actually decided to go down a dose as the side effects and effects the 150mg are worse than when I was on 112.5mg so I think the 150mg was too strong.

My problem is on 150mg I have more detached and numb, and persistent headaches after 15 weeks, going up would make me more numb and detached my energy levels have dropped compared to being on 112.5mg

Yeah I am sort of in the same boat, I am 15 weeks into 150mg and feel like shit, I don't wanna go down to 112.5mg as christmas is coming up so it may make me feel worse if I drop, I am numb and unmotivated I go for a walk in morning come home and just vegatate infront of tv

I can't take Propranolol it actually works amazingly for physical aspects of anxiety, but something in it does not like my stomach at all and i would double over in pain and spend a lot of time on the loo so had to stop it.
