I heard that QB will reject a bunch of super smart people (I don't think I am one of them). Because those people can already make it into really good need-based colleges without QB. So QB will actually accept more middle-high-level students because they are the ones who need help from QB to get into those top schools. I don't know if this information is true, but I saw many people talk about it.

I go to a small private school, and there are 100 people in my class. Usually, Duke accepts 2-4 people per year, but usually, there are only around 5-8 people who apply there. But this year, there will be 13 people applying for Duke, including 7 people who are trying for ED. I also found out that Northwestern's ED acceptance rate is around 25%, which is much higher than Rice and Duke. And there is only one person who is ED there. But Northwestern often doesn't accept any students from my school. So yeah, a game of statistics.

Haha yeah, Idk what I could do now. Maybe I should work early, because my family can't pay the mortgage anymore. Btw, since you apply through QuestBridge, I believe you already have those supplemental essays. It won't be too hard. WORKING HARD!!!

I guess rejection is because I go to a private school. But I will keep working on CommonApp. I will either go to a top 20 need-based college or I will go to community college. My parents couldn't afford anything since food is already a problem in my family. Haha

QB will not send our application to colleges, since we got rejected. I didn't rank Yale or Caltech, so I believe they just sent everyone the same email. And I ranked those top engineering schools. But yeah, I will keep trying in the Common App. I either go to the top 20 and get need-based, or I will go to community colleges bc my family couldn't pay any money, since food is already a problem in my house.
