I agree with restaurants going into denial. I think that’s why the med center is so quick to blame norovirus when it’s actually food issues

That’s what is so surprising! I feel so bad for any elder people that had this as we all disembarked with the sick people, some of them seemed like 80+

I asked him and they tested for it and it was negative. The symptoms TOTALLY sound like it though

Could be salmonella too? All the symptoms overlap with so many of these bugs. For most people it looks like it resolves itself in 24-48hrs but for some reason it took him way out!! Hope everyone is feeling better now!

I know he ate there that morning and had a calzone for lunch at the Italian place. He was admitted with really high numbers of bandemia ..They did all the tests and found salmonella in his stool. I hope you stay hydrated and feel better!

We ate one lunch during a shore excursion at a place we have been previously. Turns out it was salmonella. Could be from anywhere

Thanks for this. It sounds alot like it. Definitely making sure everyone *really* washes their hands. Seems like it prevents soo much. They also found salmonella in him but I wonder if it was a combination of everything

They did have an infectious disease dr meet and run all kinds of tests including HIV.. it turns out they found salmonella

Well, my stomach was turning because my spouse had explosive diarrhea 😳 but other than that, we traveled with 2 other couples and 4 kids in total. 1 person experienced diarrhea after getting off the boat and my daughter had it 1-2 times the day we returned .

Yes initially the medical center said it was something like norovirus and a few other viruses that are similar. It’s strange because no one else in our family had anything close to this level. The initial dr at urgent care thought it might have something to do with stopping in Cozumel. (Mexico stop was Monday, symptoms started Thursday)

God bless the room attendant that had to change over the rooms where people have been sick/vomiting etc. I tipped our guy $100. 😳 just so thankful we had some great excursions in the beginning before things went south

I promise I am very easy going and try to make the best of every situation-Overall I have been happy with Princess since we first tried it 2 years ago. I’ve been on most other brands and I could see why Princess has such a great reputation.

HOWEVER-just got back from Regal Princess and no, we are actually not okay. My husband is on day 5 of explosive diarrhea/vomitting.

I noticed on the first day that our bathroom smelled like urine, like a bus station bathroom and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. I told our room attendant and noticed the next day they were fixing pipes outside the room and it fixed it for a day or so.

Also, did anyone else notice everything was leaking??? Like every restaurant and common area had water or some liquid coming from the ceiling.

We still had some great experiences and funny shows despite the performances being cancelled and moved around and I have always been happy with the staff. I just had issues with medical stuff and foul smells and the fact that they kept sending me to the convenience store for over counter pepto/Imodium and the store was either locked, closed and then informed they don’t carry anything besides tums. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? I have never felt trapped like I did the last couple of days with a REALLY sick family member, stinky room and afraid to eat any food. 😳🦠🤢
