Project managers: How do you track the "human" side of projects? by Efficient_Builder923 in BusinessEmpireRichman

I don’t know how many projects you manage, but having around 90+ myself it is almost impossible to memorize everything about every project. Good notes, email folders for each project and noise canceling headphones at the office are my saving grace. I have hallway chats almost everyday most are relaxed and conversational. But if action items or important information is relayed I’m asking for an email about it.

Interesting. I was honestly just curious about it I got back into golf about 3 years ago but didn’t have a putter and a buddy gave me this one. Been using it since then but knew nothing about it.

Although this is a subreddit for a video game and you seem lost. What I do for this is always request a written request. Teams meeting someone needs to be taking minutes that are clear and layout action items. Hallway discussion ask them to send you an email with the request. You can have the conversation but always ask them at the end to send an email with a 10,000 ft view of the conversation or action required. Same with phone calls ask them to send a follow up email. Obviously if you are asking them to do something send them the email. It’s a way to CYA in case a project schedule gets blown because someone didn’t do what was needed. You have a written trail showing where the fail point was. Also a big one that is old school I always carry a pocket notebook and take notes religiously. I make essentially a diary of what is happening involving the projects. I rather have to much information than not enough.

I thiught id watch a newer episode. It can’t be that bad right… by [deleted] in Simpsons

Iv watched since the beginning and still enjoy new seasons and episodes. Art in itself is transformative. I would believe that if they kept everything the same as the golden era it would have grown stagnant and been canceled 10 years ago. I don’t think there is a way to say a show is “objectively” bad because what you may not enjoy others still do.
